Abstract
Un catéter de mapeo esofágico permite a un médico delinear la ubicación del esófago para evitar dañar el esófago durante procedimientos de ablación de radiofrecuencia (RF); información desde el catéter de mapeo esofágico es comunicada hacia una unidad de información del paciente, unidad de comunicaciones y/o sistema de mapeo electroanatómico; el sistema de mapeo electroanatómico usa la información desde el catéter de mapeo esofágico para desarrollar un mapa tri-dimensional del esófago y para monitorear la temperatura dentro del esófago para evitar la creación de fístula esofágica.
