Abstract
Se incluye un metodo de arranque de un dispositivo de calentamiento directo que tiene una zona de introduccion de combustible, una zona de combustion y una zona de proceso que esta en relacion de intercambio de calor con la zona de combustion. Antes de la introduccion de un fluido combustible dentro de la zona de combustion, un fluido oxidante, que tiene una alta temperatura, se hace pasar a traves de la zona de combustion por un periodo de tiempo de calentamiento, suficiente para elevar la temperatura del dispositivo de calentamiento directo hasta una temperatura deseada. El vapor o un fluido de proceso se hace pasar a traves de la zona de proceso seguida por la introduccion de un fluido combustible dentro de la zona introduccion de combustible. Despues de que ha sido calentado el dispositivo es introducido un fluido de proceso a traves de la zona de proceso. Despues de esto, la introduccion del vapor a traves de la zona de proceso puede ser detenida.
