Abstract
Se expone un proceso de separación de aire criogénico en donde, a fin de proporcionar la refrigeración necesaria cuando por lo menos una porción del producto de oxígeno se desea como oxígeno líquido, la refrigeración derivada del LNG se utiliza para licuar una corriente de nitrógeno en el proceso. Una clave a la presente invención es que, en lugar de la alimentación del nitrógeno licuado a la columna de destilación, el nitrógeno licuado se intercambia con calor contra la alimentación de aire al sistema de columna de destilación.
