Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la elaboración de metilester de ácido 2-formilbutírico, por hidroformilación del metil-ester de ácido crotónico, en la presencia de rodio y catalizadores que contienen fosfinas orgánicas, caracterizado porque la reacción se lleva a cabo, a temperaturas de 80 a 120 grados C, presiones de 20 a 30 MPa, una concentración en rodio de 10 a 500 ppm, respecto al metilester de ácido crotónico empleado y dentro de un solvente orgánico, como medio de reacción.
