Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en ladrillo refractario de magnesita-carbono no quemado, caracterizadas en que comprende una mezcla conformada y horneada que comprende de aproximadamente 8 a 30 por ciento en peso de un carbono de alta pureza, y el resto una magnesita de alta pureza, y, por cada 100 por ciento en peso de la magnesita y carbono, un agente de ligazón carbonoso en una cantidad suficiente para ligar la mezcla, conteniendo la magnesita por lo menos aproximadamente 98 por ciento de MgO y conteniendo menos de aproximadamente 0.3 por ciento de sílice, teniendo una relación en peso de CaO/SiO2 mayor de aproximadamente 2, y teniendo el carbono una pérdida durante el encendido de por lo menos aproximadamente 98 por ciento.
