Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un adaptador para ser acoplado a un lente objetivo de un microscopio, el cual comprende: un miembro de cuerpo que tiene un primer elemento de acoplamiento en un extremo del mismo, para recibir un lente objetivo de un microscopio, y que tiene un segundo elemento de acoplamiento en el otro extremo del mismo, para recibir un componente de microscopio, teniendo dicho miembro de cuerpo una trayectoria de luz axial que pasa longitudinalmente a través del mismo, y teniendo una trayectoria de luz radial que intersecta a la trayectoria de luz axial; una fuente de luz dispuesta en la trayectoria de luz radial; un primer elemento de filtración dispuesto en la trayectoria de luz radial, corriente abajo de la fuente de luz, para pasar luz en longitudes de onda que excitan la fluorescencia en un especimen que va a ser examinado en un microscopio, y para quitar la luz en longitudes de onda donde se presenta la emisión de fluorescencia visible en el especimen; un elemento reflejante dispuesto en la intersección de la trayectoria de luz axial y la trayectoria de luz radial, pasando el elemento reflejante luz en longitudes de onda de excitación, pero no reflejando luz en longitudes de onda de emisión; y un segundo elemento de filtración dispuesto en la trayectoria de luz axial, y dispuesto arriba del elemento reflejante adyacente al segundo elemento de acoplamiento, bloqueando el segundo elemento de filtración a las longitudes de onda de excitación que pasan a través del elemento reflejante; el primer elemento de acoplamiento es capaz de tener un acoplamiento separable con un lente de un microscopio, y cracterizado porque el segundo elemento de acoplamiento es capaz de tener un acoplamiento separable con un componente de microscopio.
