Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para trabajar en frío un agujero a través de una pieza de trabajo y para reducir el desgaste de dicho agujero, caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de: colocar un miembro tubular cilíndrico de metal que tiene un revestimiento antidesgastable sobre su superficie exterior dentro del agujero; mantener el miembro tubular dentro del agujero de manera que el miembro tubular se fija sustancial y axialmente con respecto al agujero; y pasar un mandril de expansión que tiene una sección de expansión en el mismo con un diámetro máximo mayor que el diámetro interior del miembro tubular axialmente a través del interior del miembro tubular para expandir el miembro tubular a medida que la sección de expansión pasa a través del mismo suficientemente para forzar la superficie del diámetro exterior del miembro tubular de manera que el revestimiento antidesgastable se pone en contacto con la superficie de las paredes del agujero y ocasiona que el miembro tubular que tiene el revestimiento antidesgastable agrande uniformemente el agujero a lo largo de su longitud.
