Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para purificar un material de alimentación de hidrocarburo que contiene parafinas lineales y por lo menos una impureza que se selecciona del grupo que consiste de compuestos aromáticos, compuestos que contienen nitrógeno, compuestos que contienen azufre, compuestos que contienen oxígeno, cuerpos coloreados y mezclas de los mismos, comprendiendo el proceso los pasos de: a) poner en contacto una corriente de alimentación líquida que comprende el material de alimentación de hidrocarburo con una adsorbente que contiene desadsorbente en un lecho adsorbente bajo condiciones que comprenden una temperatura y velocidad espacial y durante un tiempo de ciclo apropiado para la adsorción de por lo menos una impureza mediante el adsorbente para dar por resultado un efluente del ciclo adsorbente que comprende un material de alimentación de hidrocarburo purificado y una cantidad del desadsorbente; b) supervisar la cantidad del desadsorbente en el efluente del ciclo adsorbente para determinar un nivel altiplano del desadsorbente que corresponde a un nivel de por lo menos una impureza en la corriente de alimentación; c) continuar la supervisión en el paso hasta que la cantidad de desadsorbente se detecta como disminuyendo a menos del nivel altiplano de desadsorbente indicando de esta manera que está ocurriendo la penetración de por lo menos una impureza en el efluente del ciclo adsorbente y que el adsorbente se ha esencialmente saturado con por lo menos una impureza para dar por resultado un adsorbente cargado de impurezas.
