Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la obtención de alcoholes, por reacción de compuestos carbonílicos orgánicos o mezclas que contienen a tales compuestos carbonílicos orgánicos, con hidrógeno, a temperatura aumentada y eventualmente presión mayor, en la presencia de un catalizador para la hidrogenación, caracterizado porque se hacen reaccionar los compuestos de carbonilo o las mezclas correspondientes, en un catalizador protador, que contiene níquel, óxido de aluminio y dióxido de zirconio, a una temperatura comprendida entre 60 y 150 grados C.
