Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la producción de ácido glioxílico, caracterizado porque comprende poner en contacto, en solución acuosa, a un pH de aproximadamente 7 a aproximadamente 10, ácido glicólico, glicolato oxidasa y oxígeno en presencia de una cantidad efectiva de uno o más aditivos, que mejoran el rendimiento del ácido glioxílico, y en el que la concentración inicial de ácido glicólico es de 200 mM a aproximadamente 2500 mM.
