Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método parfabriar un articulo de poliuretano moldeado, que comprende: a) preparar una composición formadora de espuma de poliuretano que comprenda un poliol, un compuesto de isocianato orgánico y agua, en donde el poliol comprende una dispersión de polímero formada por polimerización iniciada por radicales libres de i) una mezcla de monómeros etilenicamente insaturados que comprende entre 51 y 99 por ciento en peso de un monómero acrílico, representando la mezcla aproximadamente 25 a 75 por ciento en peso de la dispersión; y ii) un polioxialquilen-poli-eter-poliol que representa aproximadamente 75 a 25 por ciento en peso de la dispersión; b) formar una espuma de poliuretano termoconformable a partir de la composición formadora de espuma; y c) moldear la espuma de poliuretano termoconformable a una temperatura entre aproximadamente 149 y 204 grados C y una presión suficiente para formar un artículo de poliuretano moldeado.
