Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en un procedimiento para desbastar o rectificar una estructura refractaria, caracterizadas por el hecho que una corriente de gas comburente que arrastra una mezcla de partículas que comprende partículas de al menos un elemento que es oxidable para formar al menos un óxido refractario (denominado a continuación "partículas combustibles") y partículas de óxido refractario es proyectada contra un área a desbastar causando o permitiendo la combustión de las partículas combustibles; incorporando dicha mezcla además un agente fundente cuya acción fundente es tal que bajo el calor liberado por la combustión de las partículas combustibles se ablanda la estructura refractaria en una medida tal que dicha estructura es desbastada por remoción o desplazamiento de material bajo la acción mecánica del chorro impactante.
