Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composición de cerámica resistente al choque térmico, que está compuesto de 1 a 15 por ciento de vidrio y de 99 a 85 por ciento de una mezcla de Al(2)0(3) en partículas, y cuando menos otro material en partículas seleccionado a partir del grupo que consiste en Zro(2), HfO(2), soluciones sólidas de ZrO(2)-HfO(2) e Y(2)O(3), siendo las partículas todas más finas que 15 micrones en tamaño de partícula final, el ZrO(2), HfO(2) e Y(2)O(3) constituyendo de 15 a 25 por ciento, basado en el peso de ZrO(2), HfO(2), Y(2)O(3) y Al(2)O(2) en la cerámica, el Y(2)O(3) constituyendo hasta 9 por ciento basado en el peso del ZrO(2), HfO(2) e Y(2)O(3) y, el vidrio constituyendo una fase vítrea que enlaza la mezcla de partículas hacia una estructura impermeable al gas, densa, y que es un vidrio de silicato de magnesio de calcio que contiene de 45 a 80 por ciento de SiO(2), de 8 a 65 por ciento de CaO y mGO y no más de 15 por ciento de Al(2)O(3).
