Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a método en un transmisor de un sistema de transmisión de señal de televisión para codificar una señal de televisión de alta definición, con detalle horizontal aumentado para transmisión compatible con un formato de señal de componente analógico multicanalizado, estando adaptada la señal codificada para recepción ya sea en un receptor de televisión de sistema de resolución normal o de alta definición, comprendiendo el método de codificación los pasos de: sacar muestras de la señal de televisión de alta definición a un primer regimen de muestreo; filtrar las muestras de televisión mostradas ortogonalmente para filtrar la información diagonal a frecuencias más elevadas con un espectro de banda de base rectangular, para resolución de televisión normal, y para conservar el espectro de banda de base rectangular para resolución de televisión normal no filtrada, y efectuar la decimación de las muestras alternativas en líneas alternativas dejando un patrón quinquefario, para doblar un componente del espectro de detalle horizontal de alta frecuencia de la salida alrededor de una primera frecuencia predeterminada por encima de una frecuencia de límite superior para televisión de resolución normal y para conservar el espectro de banda de base rectangular para televisión de resolución normal filtrando la salida del paso de decimación de conformidad con la respuesta de frecuencia de paso bajo sesgada simétrica, siendo reemplazada la resolución diagonal filtrada con por lo menos la información de detalle horizontal de alta frecuencia, la señal de televisión de alta definición codificada está adaptada para recepción ya sea en el receptor de televisión de resolución normal o alta definición, comprendiendo un receptor de televisión de resolución normal un filtro de paso bajo para filtrar las frecuencias por encima de la frecuencia del límite superior para la televisión normal, y para hacer pasar el espectro de banda de base conservado y un receptor de televisión de alta definición que comprende medios para desdoblar el espectro a fin de desdoblar el detalle horizontal de alta frecuencia y explorar el medio de conversión para aumentar la resolución vertical.
