Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para producir trialcoxisilano de la fórmula HSi(OR)3, en donde R es un grupo alquilo que contiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono que comprende: a) formar una mezcla de reacción que comprende un alcohol de la fórmula ROH en donde R es como se define en lo que antecede, un solvente inerte, metal de silicio y una cantidad catalíticamente efectiva de hidróxido de cobre; y b) hacer reaccionar el alcohol con el metal de silicio en presencia del hidróxido de cobre (II), para producir el trialcoxisilano.
