Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para concentrar una solución de urea por evaporación de agua de la misma, en dicho procedimiento la solución de urea se hace pasar ocmo una película a lo largo del interior de los tubos de un haz vertical de tubos y el calor requerido para la evaporación del agua se genera sustancialmente por condensación de una mezcla de gases que contiene NH3, CO2 y H2O en un área de calentamiento proporcionada alrededor del haz de tubos, siendo suministrada la mezcla de gases que contiene NH3, CO2 y H2O al área de calentamiento cerca de un extremo de los tubos del haz de tubos y la solución de urea al otro extremo de los tubos del haz de tubos, el cual procedimiento está caracterizado porque la mezcla de gases que contiene NH3, CO2 y H2O se hace pasar sustancialmente hacia arriba a traves del área de calentamiento y se asegura que la mezcla de gases o condensado no pueda refluir.
