Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición de aleación de acero inoxidable para servicio expuesto a irradiación, que tiene una resistencia al agrietamiento por corrosión bajo esfuerzo, promovido por irradiación, y reducida radioactividad inducida por irradiación a largo plaza, caracterizada porque dicha composición es una composición de aleación de acero inoxidable austenítico, de bajo contenido de carbono, que comprende alrededor de 18 a 20 por ciento en peso de cromo, alrededor de 9 a 11 por ciento en peso de níquel, alrededor de 1.5 a 2 por ciento en peso de manganeso, un máximo de aproximadamente 0.04 por ciento en peso de carbono, un mínimo de alrededor de 14 veces el porcentaje en peso de carbono, de contenidos de una combinación a alrededor de 0.25 por ciento en peso de la composición de aleación, y el resto de la composición comprende hierro con sólo impurezas incidentales.
