Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a recuperación de hierro, a partir de escoria ferrosa, en forma de concentrado mediante una clasificación magnética, el método consiste de las etapas de: clasificar magnéticamente masas de escorias crudas, cuyo tamaño es mayor de un valor que oscila entre 300 mm y 500 mm, obtenidas de hornos, en escorias que tienen un contenido en hierro superior al 50-60 por ciento y en escorias que tienen un contenido en hierro inferior al 50-60 por ciento; y aplicar una fuerza de compresión a las escorias cuyo contenido en hierro es superior al 50-60 por ciento a fin de reducir el tamaño de las mismas por abajo del valor antes mencionado; dicho método de recuperación se cracteriza por clasificar magnéticamente las escorias que tienen un tamaño menor al valor arriba mencionado en escorias que tienen un contenido en hierro superior al 50-60 por ciento y en escorias que tienen un contenido en hierro inferior al 50-60 por ciento; triturar las escorias cuyo tamaño es inferior al valor arriba citado y cuyo contenido en hierro es superior al 50-60 por ciento; someter el producto triturado a una etapa de tamizado por medio de un tamiz que tiene un tamaño de malla predeterminado a fin de producir escorias de menos de aproximadamente 40 mm y concentrados de alto contenido en hierro de más de aproximadamente 40 mm; y colectar los concentrados para usarse ulteriormente en métodos para fabricación de hierro o acero.
