Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para formar una espuma de níquel, que se caracteriza en que comprende: (a) la colocación de una estructura de espuma de celdas abiertas y térmicamente descomponible en una atmósfera de gas de níquelcarbonilo; (b) el calentamiento de la estructura de espuma a una temperatura a la cual se descompone el gas de níquelcarbonilo; (c) la descomposición del níquel del gas de níquelcarbonilo sobre la estructura de espuma para formar una estructura de espuma niquelada; (d) la sinterización de la estructura de espuma niquelada para descomponer térmicamente y eliminar la estructura de espuma de la estructura de espuma niquelada, dejando una red de níquel de celdas abiertas de alambres de níquel interconectados para formar la espuma de níquel.
