Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una fibra óptica amortiguada, que comprende una fibra óptica la cual incluye cuando menos una capa de un material de revestimiento, la fibra óptica amortiguada es caracterizada porque; un material amortiguador plástico circunscribe la fibra óptica, el material amortiguador tiene un acoplamiento controlado con al menos la capa de revestimiento de la fibra óptica, de manera tal que el material amortiguador de plástico tiene adhesión conveniente a la capa de revestimiento como mínimo durante el uso normal, pero que permite la remoción del material amortiguador de plástico de la fibra óptica ante la aplicación de fuerzas de separación adecuadamente bajas.
