Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una botella formada por un material flexible que está adaptada para ser llenada con un producto líquido que está a una temperatura elevada, la botella está formada a partir de un material flexible que incluye cuando menos una capa estructural de un material polimérico con una temperatura de ablandamiento que permite que la capa estructural retenga una resistencia suficiente como para evitar que la botella se aplaste cuando la capa estructural llegue a calentarse como resultado del llenado de la botella con el producto líquido cuando el producto está a temperatura elevada, caracterizada en que la botella comprende, en combinación: una parte superior abierta a través de la cual está adaptada la botella para ser llenada con el producto líquido añadido a un fondo cerrado; y una porción de cuerpo que tiene un eje central, y el eje central se extiende generalmente vertical cuando la botella está en posición parada, o vertical, y el fondo de la botella está adaptado para ser soportado sobre una superficie horizontal cuando la botella, está en la posición vertical o parada, y la porción del cuerpo es generalmente circular en un plano que se extiende transversalmente al eje central de la botella, y la porción del cuerpo tiene corrugaciones que se extienden alrededor de esta porción del cuerpo, y las corrugaciones están adaptadas para aplastarse cuando menos parcialmente en una dirección que se extiende paralela al eje central de la botella después del llenado de la botella con un producto líquido a temperatura elevada y tapar la botella mientras el producto líquido está aún a temperatura elevada para permitir el enfriamiento del producto líquido después del llenado y el tapado de la botella, y de esta manera evitar sustancialmente la deflexión de la porción del cuerpo de la botella en un plano que se extiende transversalmente al eje central de la botella debido al enfriamiento del producto líquido.
