Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un globulo para una composición de resina de intercambio de iones de lecho mixto de cationes y aniones, el cual glóbulo es un glóbulo de polímero hidrolíticamente estable, esencialmente esférico, teniendo un tamaño particulado controlado, una densidad controlada y humectabilidad en agua, donde el glóbulo comprende el producto de polimerización en una cantidad mayor de al menos un monómero hidrófogo monoetilenicamente insaturado, al menos un monómero polietilénicamente insaturado y una cantidad menor de un monómero hidrófilo ionizable monoestilénicamente insaturado tal que el glóbulo no exhiba una cantidad notablemente titratable de fracciones hidrófilas.
