This invention relates to a device making it possible to fasten together, either a flat surface, such as a panel or a cross member, of a cylindrical part, or even two cylindrical parts.

5 Various systems have already been proposed for mounting panels on uprights or vertical elements similar to uprights, using sleepers or horizontal elements having the properties of sleepers.

It has, for example, already been proposed to make use of grooved uprights on which panels can be adapted in various positions, i.e. according to various vertical planes with respect to such an upright and this by means of grooved cross-members locking on said uprights, the uprights and cross-pieces framing said panels.

15 It has already been proposed to use what is known as double pliers, i.e. elements which are either hinged together or fixed.

Among the known systems for mounting panels on vertical uprights using horizontal crosspieces, the following publications may be cited:

Swiss Patent No. 357535 which describes a system characterized in that it comprises elongated solid parts conformed as to their section along a plane normal to their face in a fork and having a hole parallel to the faces thereof; this hole has the shape of a regular star with eight points, that is to say, displaced by 45s in space.

The section of the hole therefore has peripherally recesses and bumps forming longitudinal grooves. For mounting the system, each piece of fork is slid along a vertical longitudinal bar, the profile of which is formed by a serration opposite to the groove of the hole in the fork, and it is fixed on the suitable position by internal means. In any case, to make the assembly, you must introduce the 5 fork at the end of the serrated bar and slide it along it to the final position.

French Patent Publication No. 2429374, which describes a system which comprises a vertical rod of circular section of separation between two consecutive panels, on which clips are mounted with slides, the jaws of which clamp the edges of the panels.

The clamps can slide freely along the rod, have the fork section and cylindrical holes 15 having a diameter slightly greater than the diameter of the rod. They are fixed in the desired position by a clamping screw.

European patent No. 0041855, which describes a system which is characterized in that it comprises a piece of special sliding format and connecting two circular rods 20 disposed opposite.

The object of the invention is to propose a device of a new and original type which combines the elements forming clamps, uprights and crosspieces.

To achieve this objective, in accordance with the invention, the device according to the invention comprises a connector having at least one grooved cylindrical recess into which said cylindrical part can be introduced, having, for this purpose, grooves, identical to those which are provided on the wall of the abovementioned cylindrical recess and, when either a panel or a cross member must be secured to a cylindrical part, or at least two cylindrical pieces must be secured to each other, means making it possible to immobilize said connector , either on said cylindrical part, and simultaneously, on a panel or a cross member, or even simultaneously on the aforementioned cylindrical parts.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the connector is produced by assembling at least two elements each having at least one semi-cylindrical recess. grooved whose facing walls can be clamped on the aforementioned cylindrical piece, having for this purpose longitudinal grooves corresponding to the grooves of the walls of said semi-cylindrical recesses.

According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the aforementioned elements comprise, apart from the aforementioned semi-cylindrical recesses, at least one wing extending on the one hand from the semi-cylindrical recesses and a threaded orifice for the passage of a screw. clamping, so that in the mounting position, a panel or a cross member can be clamped between said wings.

Other details and advantages will emerge from the description which will be given below of a device making it possible to join together elements such as panels or crosspieces or uprights. This description is given by way of example only and does not limit the invention. The reference notations refer to the attached figures.

The device according to these figures consists essentially, and in main order, of a connector 1 and a cylindrical part 2 forming an upright.

A connector is constituted by two elements 3 which have on the one hand a wing 4 and, at the opposite end, a semicircular grooved recess 5. The grooved semicircular recesses 5 each extend over 180 ° and, in a position of assem-10 blage as shown in Figure 2, the 360 ° formed by the assembly of the walls of the two semicircular recesses 5 together include 24 grooves 6, each groove extending at intervals of 15 °, for example.

The cylindrical element 2 has an equal number of grooves 7. It is understood, however, that in certain particular embodiments, the grooves, provided on the connectors as on the cylindrical elements, need not necessarily extend over 360 °. The grooves 6 and 7 could be provided locally, but this arrangement naturally offers less flexibility of the system.

The two elements 3 of a connector are tightened one on the other using a screw 8 which crosses a threaded orifice in one of the elements and enters a blind hole in the other.

This allows these elements 3 to be clamped on a cylindrical part 2 while the wings 4 enclose a panel 9 by means of small intermediate parts 10 which can be distinguished in particular in the figures. These spacers are made, for example, of rubber or a technical equivalent. They have, in a cross section, the shape of a widely flared gutter 30 with retracted edges 10 ′, intended to be introduced into the grooves 10 ″ of the wings 4.

FIG. 4 shows a variant in which two connectors 11 'are designed somewhat differently to allow the mounting of panels 9' and 9 "on either side of a cylindrical part 2.

From the description which has just been given above, of the connector according to the invention, it is noted that it allows mounting at any angle measured in a horizontal plane (the cylindrical part 2 being considered as a vertical upright ) of 5 panels or crosspieces.

Referring to Figure 5, we note that the device for being secured to two cylindrical parts 2, designated by the general reference 12, consists of a connector formed by two elements 12 'and 12 "each having two 10 recesses semi-cylindrical 13, 13 ′ respectively, the grooves of which are not shown in the figure. The two elements 12 ′ and 12 ″ are joined together by a bolt (not shown) which is introduced into the blind hole 14. A such a connector can therefore only be used to join two uprights called in the description of "cylindrical part". FIG. 6 shows * a connector 15 made up of two elements 15 ′ and 15 "but each having two semi-cylindrical recesses 16′-16" and 17′-17 "respectively. The axes of these recesses intersect at right angles. connector 15 therefore makes it possible to secure two cylindrical parts intersecting at 90 ° 20 20 Figure 7 shows a particular assembly in which on the edge of a panel 18 has been fixed a bracket 19. This bracket 19 supports a profile 20 which covers the the entire edge of the panel 18. The profile 20 has a dovetail-shaped section which allows an intermediate element 21 having the same section to be slid over the latter. Such an intermediate element makes it possible to complete the appearance outside of the assembly.

The part 22 is a corner part designed according to the principle of the part shown in FIG. 6.

FIG. 8 illustrates the case of a connector 30 produced by the assembly of four elements 23, 24, 25 and 26 by a bolt (not shown) being introduced into the orifices 27, 28 and 29 respectively and into the blind hole 30, said connector comprising sixteen recesses intended to receive an equal number of cylinders.

Returning to FIG. 1, it will be noted that intermediate elements 23, also having internal grooves, have been provided on either side of a connector.

From the description which has just been given, it will be appreciated that the device, making it possible to secure a panel or the like of an upright, is of a simple and robust design, that its assembly is extremely easy and that the flexibility of the system is considerable since, for grooves extending over 15 °, it is possible to arrange a panel relative to an upright, in twenty 10 different positions, all these positions being measured in a plane; "horizontal.

The invention is obviously not limited to the embodiment which has just been described and many modifications could be made to it without departing from the scope of the present patent application.

Claims (7)

1. Device making it possible to join together, either a flat surface, such as a panel or a cross member, of a cylindrical part, or even at least two cylindrical parts, characterized in that it consists of a connector having at least 5 a grooved cylindrical recess into which can be inserted said cylindrical part having, for this purpose, grooves identical to those provided on the wall of the aforementioned cylindrical recess and, when either a panel or a crosspiece must be secured d a cylindrical part, or at least two cylindrical parts 10 must be joined together, means making it possible to immobilize said connector, either on said cylindrical part, and simultaneously, on a panel or a cross-member, or even simultaneously on the cylindrical parts mentioned above. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the aforementioned connector is produced by the assembly of at least two elements each having at least one grooved semicylindrical recess whose facing walls can be tightened on the part aforementioned cylindrical, having for this purpose longitudinal grooves corresponding to the grooves of the aforementioned semi-cylindrical recesses. 3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the abovementioned elements comprise, apart from the abovementioned semicylindrical recess, at least one wing extending on the one hand from the semicylindrical recess and a threaded orifice for the passage 25 a clamping screw, so that in the mounting position, a panel or a crosspiece can be clamped between said wings. 4. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the aforementioned semi-cylindrical recess has grooves on at least part of its internal surface. 5.
