DESCRIPTION LU504023
TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING AND
TREATING POSTPARTUM ABDOMINAL PAIN OF DAIRY COWS AND
PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The invention belongs to the technical field of veterinary drugs, and particularly relates to a traditional Chinese medicine composition for preventing and treating postpartum abdominal pain of dairy cows and a preparation method thereof.
Postpartum abdominal pain is one of the common clinical diseases in dairy cows, which mostly occurs within 1 - 3 days after delivery. The clinical symptoms are anorexia, rumination cessation, chills, cold ears, nose, limbs, hunching, abdominal kicking, tiredness, restless lying, vaginal discharge or blood stasis. For new cows, it is faced with the dual challenges of physiological function recovery and postpartum lactation. If it is not properly handled at the right time, postpartum abdominal pain will seriously affect the postpartum health recovery and the best production performance of cows, and then affect the pasture income. With the enhancement of animal welfare awareness of ranchers and the pursuit of the best production efficiency, postpartum pain management is regarded as an important item of postpartum health care in dairy farms.
At present, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as flunixin meglumine and meloxicam, are often used to manage postpartum pain in dairy cows. No or low selectivity of flunixin meglumine to cyclooxygenase leads to serious side effects, such as different degrees of gastrointestinal reactions, even intestinal bleeding and irritation.
Secondly, meloxicam can also cause many adverse reactions such as indigestion, such as vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, flatulence and diarrhea. It can be seen that flunixin meglumine and meloxicam are commonly used drugs for postpartum paltJ504023 management in clinic, but the effect on postpartum abdominal pain in dairy cows is not ideal, and it may even cause negative gastrointestinal reactions. At the same time, the etiology of postpartum abdominal pain is complicated and uncertain. Therefore, the development of pharmaceutical preparations for postpartum abdominal pain is one of the important tasks of postpartum pain management in dairy cows. Chinese veterinary drugs have accumulated rich experience in treating postpartum abdominal pain. The research data show that the clinical effect of Chinese veterinary drugs in treating postpartum abdominal pain of dairy cows is exact, which meets the demand of modern dairy industry for healthy and green farming drugs.
The first purpose of the invention is to overcome the defects in the prior art and provide a traditional Chinese medicine composition for preventing and treating postpartum abdominal pain of dairy cows, which can effectively prevent and treat postpartum abdominal pain of dairy cows.

Wuzhong, Lanzhou and Zhangye from September 2017 to March 2019. The management conditions and feeding level of the included pastures are similar, and a basic database of pasture production management is established.
Animal selection 1.3.1 Diagnostic criteria
The selected animal has the main indication and two secondary indications, that is, it is diagnosed as postpartum abdominal pain of dairy cows. (1) Main indications: cows have abdominal pain within 1-3 days after delivery, which is manifested as hunching, kicking, exertion, muscle tremor, and restless lying. (2) Secondary indications: (1) listlessness; (2) diet is abolished; (3) mouth color is blue and white; (4) the pulse condition is heavy.
Inclusion criteria: 3-8 years old, 2-5 births, physical condition score of 2.5-4.0, no history of infectious diseases, prenatal health, smooth labor process, natural delivery, no complications before and after delivery, and healthy calves.
Rejection criteria
Cows suffering from postpartum for more than 3 days, cows suffering from retained placenta, postpartum clinical mastitis, abomasum displacement, postpartum fever (rectal temperature 240°C), postpartum diarrhea, and cows receiving other anti-inflammatory or analgesic treatment measures unrelated to this study or participating in other clinical trials in the early stage are excluded from this study.
Test procedure
1.4.1 Random grouping LU504023
Cows suffering from postpartum abdominal pain are randomly divided into five groups: control group (300 cows), experimental group | (300 cows, Embodiment 1), experimental group Il (300 cows, Embodiment 2), experimental group Ill (300 cows, Embodiment 3) and experimental group IV (300 cows, Comparative embodiment 1).
Administration regimen
Four groups of experimental cows are given drugs according to the dosage of 400 g/cow.
Before administration, the tested drugs are soaked in 20-25 L boiling water for 30 min, waiting for the temperature, and taken orally once a day for 3 days. In the control group, the infected cows are given flunixin meglumine 25 mL/cow and intramuscular injection for 3 days.
Detection indicator
After administration, the mental state, rumination and defecation of the cows are monitored. The pain relief status is judged by the pain indexes such as hunching back, wagging tail, kicking abdomen and trying hard. The secondary diseases such as mastitis and metritis within 30 days after delivery and the elimination of the tested cows are statistically analyzed. The body temperature is continuously detected for 7 days (> 39.5°C for fever); after being transferred from the delivery room to the milking barn, the milk yield is continuously measured, and the changes of milk yield of the tested cows on the 30th postpartum day are compared.
Criteria for judging curative effect
Recovery: mental state and appetite are normal, and the main indications of abdominal pain of the tested cows return to normal within 48 hours after the first medication, which is judged as recovery.
Effective. the mental state is poor, and the appetite decreases slightly. The main indications of abdominal pain in the tested cows return to normal within 49-72 hours after the first medication, and it is judged as effective.
Invalid: depressed spirit, loss of appetite, decreased rumination, increased water consumption or unwillingness to drink water, and abdominal pain symptoms such as hunchback, tail lifting and muscle tremor from time to time, which are judged as invalid.
Statistics LU504023
The data are analyzed by SPSS®(Version 17.0). Chi-squared test is used to evaluate the cure rate of the two groups of dairy cows, and milk production is tested using a two-sided test for both groups, where p < 0.05 is considered a statistically significant difference in the test.
