Abstract
배기 매니폴드는 그 각각이 내연기관의 배기 가스 출구에 분리 가능하게 연결된 입구가 있는 복수의 파이프를 갖는다. 각 파이프는 입구와 각을 이루며 촉매 컨버터 축을 한정하고 배기 가스의 촉매 처리를 위한 촉매수단을 포함하는 촉매 컨버터부를 갖는다. 촉매 컨버터 축에 직각인 단면에서, 촉매 수단은 입구의 구멍보다 큰 단면 영역을 갖기 때문에, 배기 가스가 통과될 때, 그 흐름에 대한 저항을 낮게 한다.

Claims (11)
- 그 각각에 내연 기관에 연결된 입구가 있는 2개 이상의 파이프와, 상기 입구와 각을 이루며, 배기 가스의 촉매 처리를 위한 촉매 수단을 갖고, 입구 구멍 영역이 있는 입구, 촉매 컨버터 측에 직각인 단면 영역을 갖는 촉매 수단 그리고, 입구 구멍 영역보다 큰 촉매 수단의 단면 영역이 있는 촉매 컨버터 측을 한정하는 촉매 컨버터부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 입구는 촉매 컨버터 측과 45도 내지 135도의 각 α를 이루는 입구축을 한정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 입구는 입구축을 한정하며, 촉매 수단은 평평한 배기 가스 입구 표면을 갖고, 각각의 파이프는 배기 가스 입구 표면에 근접된 중공의 배가 가스 분포 공간과 입구축과 직각에서 단면 영역을 가지며 입구로부터 멀어질수록 선형적으로 작아지는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제3항에 있어서, 배기 가스 입구 표면은 입구축과 예각 β를 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 촉매 수단은 촉매 컨버터 축, 배기 가스 입구 표면 및, 배기 가스 출구 표면에 평행한 배기 가스 통로를 가지며, 배기 가스 입구 표면과 배기 가스 표면은 평평하며 촉매 컨버터축과 직각인 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 각각의 파이프는 촉매 수단에 연결된 방전부를 가지며, 촉매 컨버터 축과 같은 높이이고, 상기 축과 135도 내지 225도의 각도 θ를 갖고, 방전축을 따라 측정된 치수 e를 가지며, 상기 축에 평행하고, 촉매 수단의 최대 단면 치수 c의 10%인 방전축을 한정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제6항에 있어서, 배기 가스 출구 표면과 배기가스 입구 표면에 위치된 단부에 벽이 있는 방전부가 구비된 촉매 수단은 모든 주변 포인트에서 촉매 컨버터축과 평행하거나 상기 축과 최대 45도의 각도를 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 각 파이프안에 배열된 촉매 수단은, 촉매 활성화 재료로 코팅되고 배기 가스 통로를 한정하는 평평하고 웨이브진 금속 박막 부재로 하나 이상의 다른 패키지를 가지며, 하나 이상의 치수로 안정되고, 평행육면체형 또는 입방체형으로 된 촉매 부재를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제8항에 있어서, 금속 박막 부재의 상기 각 패키지는 배기 가스 통로에 직각인 단면에서 단면 영역의 ㎠당 150배기 가스 통로를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 촉매 수단의 단면 영역은 입구 구멍 영역보다 30% 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 입구는 입구축과 직경이 d인 원형의 입구구멍을 가지며, 촉매 수단은 그 단면에서, 상기 직경 d보다 큰 길이와 촉매 컨버터 축과 입구축을 통과하는 평면에 평행한 2개의 사변형 측면이 있는 사변형을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 매니폴드.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
