Abstract

본 발명은 평판표시소자의 신규한 구동방법을 개시한다.
순차주사되는 평판표시소자는 한 화소에 대한 선택가능시간이 한정되어 발광휘도등에 문제가 있었다. 본 발명에서는 화소들을 교열구조로 배열하여 두 라인씩 커먼접속하고 다시 상하 분할화면을 대응라인간에 커먼 접속함으로써 네 라인의 동시 선택이 가능하도록 하여 선택가능시간을 현저히 연장하였다.

Claims (1)

  1. 매트릭스형으로 화소가 배열된 평판표시소자의 구동방법에 있어서, 상기 화소들을 각 주사전극상에 1/2피치씩 서로 엇갈리는 교열구조로 배열하여 두 주사전극씩 커먼으로 접속하고, 상기 평판표시소자의 전체 화면을 2분할하여, 상측 분할화면의 상기 커먼접속된 두 주사전극과 하측분할 화면의 커먼접속된 두 대응 주사전극을 다시 커먼으로 접속하여, 네 주사전극을 동시에 선택하는 것을 특징으로 하는 평판표시소자의 구동방법.
