Abstract

본 발명은 필드에미션 디바이스에서 방출되는 전자의 모멘텀을 크게 하기 위해 제어전극을 부가한 필드에미션 디바이스에 관한 것이다. 이를 위한 본 발명은, 기판과, 이 기판상에 돌출되어 필드에미션에 의해 전자를 방출하는 다수의 필드에미터 팁과, 상기 팁주위에 배치되어 그 주변에 전기장이 형성되도록 소정의 전압이 인가되는 다수의 게이트 전극을 구비한 필드에미션 디바이스에 있어서, 상기 팁에서 방출되는 전자의 비월시간을 증가시켜 상기 전자의 속도 및 모멘텀이 증가되도록 상기 방출전자를 제어하는 복수개의 층으로 된 제어전극이 상기 게이트 전극과 독립적으로 더 형성되어 있게 함으로써, 에노드전극에서의 발광효율을 향상시킬 수 있다.

Claims (3)

  1. 기판과, 이 기판상에 돌출되어 필드에미션에 의해 전자를 방출하는 다수의 필드에미터 팁과, 상기 팁주위에 배치되어 그 주변에 전기장이 형성되도록 소정의 전압이 인가되는 다수의 게이트 전극을 구비한 필드에미션 디바이스에 있어서, 상기 팁에서 방출되는 전자의 비월시간을 증가시켜 상기 전자의 속도 및 모멘텀이 증가되도록 상기 방출전자를 제어하는 복수개의 층으로 된 제어전극이 상기 게이트 전극과 독립적으로 더 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 필드에미션 디바이스.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어전극은, 독립적이고 개별적인 전압을 인가받는 복수개의 층으로 구성되어 있고, 상기 독립적이고 개별적인 전압은 소정의 제어부에서 출력되는 것을 특징으로 하는 필드에미션 디바이스.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는 상기 복수의 층으로 구성된 제어전극에 교번되는 전압을 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 필드에미션 디바이스.
