Abstract
본 발명의 개선된 내연기관은 각 실린더가 공기공급원 및 압축가스로 저장되어 있는 연료공급원에 연결되어 있고, 후속의 폭발행정을 개시하도록 충전된 연료가 유입되어 연료 및 공기의 혼합물이 점화되기 전에 완전히 충전된 공기가 유입되어 압축되는 동안 압축행정이 종료되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 유입밸브와 점화기가 일체로 형성되어 있는 수단을 통해서 이 가스연료를 유입할 수 있고, 이러한 수단을 통상적인 주입기 또는 스파크플러그용 구멍안으로 끼워맞추도록 설계함으로써 통상적인 디젤엔진 또는 가솔린엔진을 개조할 수 있다. 압축된 가스연료는 메탄 또는 다른 압축천연가스(CNG)가 될 수 있다. 본 발명은 고정용엔진과 가동성엔진을 포함하고 있고, 특히 이러한 엔진을 작동하는 방법 및 자동차엔진을 포함하고 있다.

제2도는 본 발명의 엔진에 사용되는 분사기 및 점화기를 도시한 축선방향 단면도이다,
제3도는 제2도의 분사기 및 점화기의 평면도이다.
Claims (16)
- 적어도 하나의 피스톤과 실린더가 조합되어 있는 내연기관으로서, 상기 실린더가 공기공급원 및 저압가스로 저장된 연료공급원에 연결되어 있고, 상기 실린더내에 완전히 충전된 공기가 유입되어 압축되는 압축행정을 포함하고 있는 연소의 사이클이 진행되고, 예압축된 가스연료가 상기 실린더내로 직접유입되기 전에 상기 압축행정이 종결되며, 그리고 후속의 폭발행정을 개시하도록 공기와 연료의 혼합물이 점화되는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 피스톤이 왕복형인 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서, 연료를 상기 실린더안으로 유입시키는 전력구동식의 유입밸브를 포함하고 있고, 상기 밸브가 전력원의 작동에 의해서 개방되는 내연기관.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 유입밸브가 완전개방 또는 완전폐쇄의 2가지 상태로 작동되는 내연기관.
- 제4항에 있어서, 전력이 차단될 때마다 상기 완전폐쇄의 위치로 향하게 하는 복원스프링이 더 포함되어 있는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가스연료가 유입밸브 및 점화기가 일체로 형성되어 있는 수단을 통해서 상기 실린더 내로 유입되는 내연기관.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 실린더가 디젤연료를 사용하는 통상적인 방식이며, 점화플러그를 끼워넣기 위한 구멍을 가지고 있는 내연기관.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 실린더가 통상적인 디이젤엔진용 압축점화기관을 위한 방식이고, 점화기를 끼워 넣기 위한 구멍을 포함하고 있는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서, 충전된 공기를 점화하기 위한 수단으로부터 분리된 흡기구에 의해서, 상기 실린더쪽으로 연료를 유출하는 내연기관.
- 제1항 내지 제9항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 압축 천연가스(CNG)를 연료로 사용하도록 조절되어 있는 내연기관.
- 제1항 내지 제10항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 고압으로 형성된 가스연료를 저장하기 위한 저장수단을 포함하고 있는 내연기관.
- 제1항 내지 제10항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 가스연료용 콤프레서와 상기 내연기관 및 동력발생수단을 포함하고 있고, 상기 내연기관이 상기 콤프레서와 상기 동력발생수단을 구동하는 고정식 동력발생수단.
- 적어도 하나의 피스톤과 실린더가 조합되어 있고, 폭발행정에 앞선 압축행정을 포함하고 있는 내연기관의 작동방법으로서, (a) 압축행정이 끝나기전에 실린더내에 완전히 충전된 공기가 유입되어서 압축되는 단계와, (b) 상기 압축행정의 말기에 미리 압축된 가스연료를 실린더내로 유입시키는 단계가 동시에 진행되는 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 미리 압축된 가스연료를 유입시키는 단계가 압축행정의 말기에 상사점 이전의 최종 20°의 크랭크축의 회전각도내에서 이루어지는 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 미리 압축된 천연가스를 유입시키는 단계가 압축행정의 말기에 상사점 이전의 최종 10°의 크랭크축의 회전각도내에서 이루어지는 방법.
- 상기 실린더내의 공기압력이 600 내지 1,000PSI의 범위내에 존재할때, 제13항에 있어서, 상기 미리 압축된 가스연료를 유입시키는 단계가 이루어지는 방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
