Abstract

본 발명은 비월주사방식의 온스크린 디스플레이(OSD)회로에 관한 것으로, 종래에는 문자나 그림을 디스플레이할 경우 같은 도트(dots)들을 1프레임과 2프레임에 디스플레이하기 때문에 해상도가 2배로 떨어지는 문제점이 있었다. 따라서 본 발명은 디스플레이할 수 있는 최소 수직도트의 크기를 종래보다 1/2로 줄여 2배의 해상도를 가질 수 있도록 한다.

제3도는 폰트의 디스플레이 도로서, (가)는 6×5폰트를 디스플레이한 도이고, (나)는 (가) 대한 종래의 디스플레이도이며,(다)는 (가)에 대한 본 발명의 디스플레이도이다.

Claims (1)

  1. 입력되는 수평동기신호(H-SYNC)를 카운트하고 그 카운트한 값을 수직어드레스의 상위 n-1비트로 사용하는 (n-1)비트 수직 카운터와, 입력되는 수직동기신호(V-SYNC)에 대해 1비트씩 카운트하고 그 카운트한 값을 수직어드레스의 최하위 1비트로 사용하는 1비트카운터와, 상기 (n-1)비트 수직 카운터와 1비트카운터로부터 입력되는 카운트값에 따라 폰트롬의 수직어드레스를 지정하는 수직디코더와, 입력되는 문자어드레스를 디코딩하여 폰트롬의 수평어드레스로 지정하는 문자 디코더와, 상기 수직 디코더와 문자디코더를 통해 디코딩된 수직어드레스 및 수평어드레스의 지정에 따라 폰트를 1프레임과 2프레임으로 각각 나누어 디스플레이할 수 있도록 한 폰트롬으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 비월주사방식의 온스크린 디스플레이(OSD)회로.
