Abstract
강유전성 액정을 사용한 후막셀 광변조기에 있어서, 비대칭 듀티비 즉 55-85%의 듀티비를 가진 일련의 전압펄스가 강유전성 액정을 포함하는 한쌍의 전극판 사이에 적용된다. 강유전성 액정을 사용한 다른 액정 후막셀 광변조기에 있어서, DC바이어스 전압이 전압펄스에 가해지고, 여기서 DC바이서스 전압의 크기는 전압펄스 반진폭의 20-50%이다. 또 다른 액정 후막셀 광변조기에 있어서, 전극판 사이의 잔극길이가 50㎛이상이고, 강유전성 액정의 스멕틱 C상내의 헬리컬 피치는 간극길이의 0.7-0.95배이다.

Claims (8)
- 한쌍의 병렬전극판 사이에 강유전성 액정을 포함하는 후막셀; 및 전극판 쌍 사이에 비대칭 듀티비를 가진 일련의 전압펄스를 적용하기 위한 전압적용회로를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 듀티비가 55-85%인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 듀티비가 58-75%인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.
- 한쌍의 병렬전극판 사이에 강유전성 액정을 포함하는 후막셀; 및 전극판 쌍 사이에서 전압펄스에 가해스 DC바이어스 전압을 가진 일련의 전압펄스를 적용하기 위한 전압적용회로를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.
- 제4항에 있어서, DC바이어스는 전압펄스의 반진폭의 20-50%인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.
- 제4항에 있어서, DC바이어스는 전압펄스의 반진폭의 25-45%인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.
- 50㎛이상의 전극판 사이에 간극길이를 가진 한쌍의 병렬 전극판을 가지는 두꺼운셀; 간극길이 0.7-0.95배인 스멕틱 C상내의 강유전성 액정의 헬리컬 피치를 가진 전극판 쌍 사이에 수용된 강유전성액정 및; 전극판 사이에 일련의 전압펄스를 적용하기 위한 전압적용회로를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.
- 제7항에 있어서, 스멕틱 C상내 강유전성 액정의 헬리컬 피치가 간극길이의 0.8-0.9배인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 후막셀 광변조기.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
