Abstract

본 발명은 메탄, 에탄과 같은 포화 탄화수소 및 산소로부터 에틸렌을 분리한 후에 효율적으로 회수하는 것으로 구성되어 있는, 산화 에틸렌 제조 장치로부터 배출된 에틸렌 함유 가스로부터 에틸렌을 경제적으로 회수하기 위한 방법을 제공한다. 상기 방법에서, 배출 가스를 분자체 탄소에 접촉시켜 배출 가스에 포함된 산소의 흡착이 일어나지 않게 선택적으로 에틸렌을 흡착한 후에, 에틸렌을 탈착시키고 회수한다.

Claims (7)

  1. 에틸렌을 산화시켜 산화 에틸렌을 제조하는 장치에서 배출된 에틸렌 함유 가스로부터 에틸렌을 회수하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 방법은 에틸렌 함유 배출 가스를 가압하에 분자체 탄소(molecular sieve carbon)에 접촉시켜 가스에 함유된 에틸렌을 선택적으로 흡착시킨 후에, 감압하에 에틸렌을 탈착하고 회수함을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌의 회수 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 분자체 탄소는 미공의 평균 직경이 3∼5Å이고, 25℃, latm에서의 에틸렌과 에탄의 흡착 계수(즉, 평형 흡착량의 ½을 흡착하는 데에 필요한 시간)가 각각 0.2∼10분 및 40∼3,000분인 것을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌의 회수 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 분자체 탄소는 25℃, 1atm에서의 에틸렌과 에탄의 평형 흡착량이 각각 0.01~0.3분 및 1~200분인 것을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌의 회수 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 분자체 탄소는 25℃, 1atm에서의 에틸렌과 에탄의 평형 흡착량이 각각 35∼65Nl/㎏ 및 35∼65Nl/㎏인 것을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌의 회수 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 배출가스는 약 15∼35부피%의 에틸렌, 45∼65부피%의 메탄을 포함하고 있으며 이산화탄소, 산호 및 아르곤을 각각 1∼8부피%로 포함하고 1부피% 이하의 에탄을 포함하고 있음을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌의 회수 방법.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 흡착 처리는 5∼20㎏/㎠의 압력 및 20∼50℃의 온도하에서 실시됨을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌의 회수 방법.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 탈착 처리는 50∼500Torr의 압력 및 -5∼30℃의 온도하에서 실시됨을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌의 회수 방법.
