Abstract

본 발명은 전기 콘넥터들을 직접회로칩의 본드패드들에 제거 가능하게 연결하기위한 소켓에 관한 것이며, 번인과 다른 시험을 위해 소켓에 고정되어 칩의 다음 공정에서 자동화된 장비로 제거할 수 있으며 쉽게 취급할 수 있는 칩 호울더를 포함한다. 소켓은 세라믹 플레이트의 정밀히 설치된 개구들을 통해 본드패드들과 전기적 결합으로 안내되는 일련의 콘택트들을 가진다. 세라믹 플레이트와 칩 호울더는 하우징으로부터 돌출하는 한쌍의 안내핀들로 정렬된다. 한쌍의 랫칭부재들을 칩 호울더를 번인 및 시험중에 하우징에 고정한다.

Claims (5)

  1. 특정 패턴으로 간격을 가진 집적회로칩의 본드패드들에 전기적으로 연결되거나 분리되기 위한 소켓으로서 ; 상기 칩을 원하는 위치에 지지하기 위한 칩 호울더 ; 하우징 ; 각 일 종단 상기 칩의 각 본드패드에 전기적으로 접촉하기에 적합한 콘택트팁을 가지는 상기 하우징내의 콘택트부재들 ; 상기 각 콘택트팁이 상기 각각의 본드패드에 전기적으로 접축하도록 상기 칩 호울더를 상기 하우징에 풀 수 있도록 고정하기 위한 랫칭부재로 구성되는 소켓에 있어서 ; (a) 상기 콘택트칩들을 상기 본드패드들의 상기 특정패턴에 대응하는 상기 콘택트팁들을 설치하기 위해 상기 하우징과 관련된 안내플에이트 ; 및 (b) 상기 콘택트팁들이 상기 본드패드들과 정합하도록 상기 안내플레이트와 상기 칩 호울도를 정렬하기 위한 수단을 특징으로 하는 소켓.
  2. 상기 안내 플레이트가 상기 콘택트팁들이 돌출하는 개구들을 가지며, 상기 개구들은 상기 특정패턴에 따라 간격을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 제 1 항의 소켓.
  3. 상기 칩 호울더가 상기 하우징에 고정될때, 상기 탄성부분이 상기 콘택트팁을 상기 전기콘택트의 상기 각각의 본드패드에 밀도록 상기 콘택트 부재들의 각각이 상기 타종단에 인접한 생크와 상기 생크와 상기 콘택트팁 사이의 탄성부분을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제 2 항의 소켓.
  4. 상기 콘택트팁들이 상기 안내플레이트의 상기 개구들과 정렬되도록 상기 콘택트 부재들을 상기 하우징내에 설치하기 위한 절연 콘택트 호울더를 또한 특징으로 하는 제 3 항의 소켓.
  5. 상기 랫칭부재가, 상기 호울더가 그와의 상기 고정된 결합으로 밀림에 따라 상기 아암들이 상기 호울더가 상기 캠면들을 누를 때까지 밀려 벌어져서 상기 아암들이 서로에 대해 탄성적으로 움직여 상기 칩 호울더를 상기 하우징과 상기 고정결합으로 랫칭하도록 상기 칩 호울더의 대향하는 측면들에 적용되도록 배열된 안으로 향한 캠면을 그 위에 가지는 한 쌍의 대향된 탄성아암들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제 1 항의 소켓.
