Abstract

국부 통신망 또는 광역 통신망과 같은 데이타 통신 시스템은 등시(等時)데이타를 송신할 수 있는 능력을 구비하고 있다. 상기 시스템은 4비트 니블(nibble)을 기초로 복귀 프레임 구조로 데이타를 시간 멀티플렉싱함으로써 등시 데이타 및 비등시 데이타를 이동시킨다. 도달 데이타는, 적절한 하드웨어에 의해 분리 스트림을 조정을 위해 디멀티플렉싱된다.
데이타는 계층적으로 소스로부터 노드를 통해 허브로 이동된다. 허브는, 다른 종착 허브, 노드나 싱크 컴비네이션으로의 분배를 위한 고대역 버스상으로 스위칭하기 위해 내부 접속 메모리내에 데이타를 배치시킨다. 소스노드 및 종착노드가 동일 허브에 부착되는 상황에서, 허브는 종착 노드에 집적 국부 루프백을 제공하여 우선적으로 버스상에 송신된 데이타를 배치시킬 필요성을 없앤다. 이러한 능력은 다른 등시나 비등시 데이타 교통량을 위해 고대역폭 버스상에 고대역폭의 여유(room)를 유지한다.

Claims (1)

  1. 복수개의 소스(soruce) 및 싱크(sink)사이에 데이타를 통신하는 장치에 있어서, 상기 복수개의 소스 및 싱크중 적어도 하나에 연결되어 있으며 노드 송신기 및 노드 수신기를 지니는 노드, 상기 노드에 연결되어 있으며, a)상기 제1노드로부터 송신된 데이타를 수신하도록 상기 노드 송신기에 연결된 허브 수신기, b)상기 제1노드에 데이타를 송신하도록 상기 노드 수신기에 연결된 허브 송신기, c)상기 허브 송신기에 상기 허브 수신기를 연결시키는 데이타 링크, 및 d)상기 허브 수신기와 상기 허브 송신기사이의 데이타 링크상에 배치되어 있으며 제어 신호에 연결되어 있는 스위치로서, 상기 제어 신호가 단정될 경우 상기 허브 수신기로부터 데이타가 상기 허브 송신기로 이동하게 하는 스위치를 지니는 제1허브, 제2허브, 및 상기 제1허브의 허브 수신기 및 허브 송신기중 적어도 하나 및 상기 제2허브에 연결되어 상기 제1허브 및 제2허브사이로 데이타를 이동시키는 버스를 포함하는 장치.
