Abstract
폴리(아릴렌 설파이드) 중합체로부터 올리고머 및 비-중합체 불순물을 제거하고 중합체를 손쉽게 회수가능한 미립 형태로 생성하는 방법이 제공되며, 이때 올리고머 및 비-중합체 불순물과 희합된 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드)는 중합체, 올리고머 및 불순물을 실질적으로 용해하기 충분한 온도에서 용매, 물, 및 임의로 염기와 접촉된 후;용액은 올리고머 및 불순물이 용액에 잔류하는 반면 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드)는 침전되는 온도로 냉각되고, 그리고 나서 침전된 중합체는 올리고머 및 분순물을 함유하는 용액으로부터 분리된다. 이 방법에 의해 생성된 중합체 생성물이 또한 기재되어 있다.

제1도는 회수된 중합체의 입자 크기에 대한 본 발명에 사용한 수량(水量)의 효과를 그래프로 도해한다,
제2도는 회수된 중합체의 입자 크기에 대한 본 발명에 적용된 첨가된 염기의 효과를 그래프로 도해한다,
제3도는 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드) 중합체, 및 본 발명에 따른 처리 후의 동일 중합체에 대한 겔투과 크로마토그래피 결과들의 비교를 도해한다.
Claims (10)
- 하기로 구성되는 올리고머 및 비-중합체 불순물이 제거되는, 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드) 중합체 정제 방법:a)승온에서 물 대 용매의 몰비가 0.3:1 내지 1.2:1인 적합한 용매 및 물에 상기 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드) 중합체, 올리고머 및 비-중합체 불순물을 실질적으로 용해시켜 용액을 형성하고;b)폴리(아릴렌 설파이드) 중합체를 침전시키기 충분하나 상기 올리고머 또는 불순물의 침전을 유발할 만큼 충분히 낮지는 않은 비교적 저온으로 상기 용액을 냉각시키고;및 c)상기 비교적 저온에서 또는 근처에서 상기 올리고머 및 불순물을 함유하는 상기 용액으로부터 상기 침전된 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드) 중합체를 분리한다.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 용매는 아미드, 락탐, 설폰, 설파이드, 에테르 또는 할로겐화 방향족 화합물인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드)가 폴리(페닐렌 설파이드)인 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 용액은 단계(a)에서 약 185℃를 초과하는 온도로 가열되는 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 용액은 단계(b)에서 약 185 내지 약 240℃의 온도로 냉각되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 용매는 N-메틸-2-피롤리돈인 방법.
- 제1-6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 용액에 염기가 존재하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 염기는 알칼리 금속 히드록사이드, 알칼리 금속 카르보네이트, 또는 이의 혼합물이며, 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드)중합체 몰 당 약 0.0002 내지 약 0.003몰 염기의 양으로 존재하는 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 염기는 수산화 나트륨인 방법.
- 제1-6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 용액은 5중량%이하의 폴리(아릴렌 설파이드)를 포함하는 방법.※참고사항:최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
