Abstract

본 발명은 (a) 생석회를 수용성 매체중에 소화시키고, (b) 수산화 칼슘 현탁액을 체를 통해 통과시키고, (c) 수산화칼슘을 미분된 상태로 전환시키고, (d) 이산화탄소를 이루어진 가스를 사용하여 단계(c)에서 형성된 미세하게 분산된 소석회의 현탁액을 탄산화 및 중화시키고, (e) 현탁시킨 수성매체로 부터 단계(d)에서 형성된, 탄산칼슘 침전물을 분리하는 단계로 이루어진 탄산칼슘 침전물의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.

Claims (11)

  1. (a) 생석회를 수용성 매체중에서 소화시키고, (b) 수산화칼슘 현탁액을 40 내지 70미크론 범위의 구멍 크기를 갖는 체를 통행 통과시키고, (c) 현탁액을 고에너지, 고전단 교반하에 체를 통과시켜서 수산화칼슘을 미분된 상태로 전환시키고, (d) 현탁액의 pH를 실절적으로 중성으로 떨어뜨리기 위하여 이산화탄소로 이루어진 가스를 충분히 통과시켜서 단계(c)에서 형성된 미세하게 분산된 소석회의 현탁액을 탄산화시키고, (e) 현탁시킨 수성매체로부터 단계(d)에서 형성된 탄산칼슘 침전물을 분리하는 단계로 이루어진 탄산칼슘 침전물의 제조방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 단계 (a)의 종기에 0.7몰 내지 4몰의 수산화칼슘 농도를 갖는 현탁액(5 내지 30%w/v)을 제조하는 방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 수성 매체를 30 내지 50。C범위 내의 온도에서 유지하는 방법.
  4. 제1항 내지 3항중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 수성 매체를 단계(a)기간 동안 실질적으로 연속적인 교반으로 처리하는 방법.
  5. 제1항 내지 4항중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 소회석의 현탁액을 15%w/v이하의 농도로 희석하고, 단계(b) 기간동안 40˚C 내지 65˚C의 온도 범위에서 유지하는 방법.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 탄산화 가스가 이산화탄소의 5% 내지 50부피%를 함유하고, 잔여분이 공기 또는 질소를 포함하는 방법.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 탄산화 가스를 미세기포의 형태로 미세하게 분산된 소석회의 현탁액에 주입시키는 방법.
  8. 제1항 내지 제7항중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 탄산화 가스를 분당, 수산화칼슘의 몰당 이산화탄소 0.02 내지 0.10몰 범위의 비율로 미세하게 분산된 소석회의 현탁에 주입시키는 방법.
  9. 제1항 내지 제8항중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 현탁액을 단계(d)전체에 걸쳐서 적어도 600㎝/초의 주변속도로 실질적으로 계속적으로 교반시키는 방법.
  10. 제1항 내지 제9항중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서, 상기 탄산화 가스의 첨가를 현탁액의 pH가 실질적으로 중성으로 떨어졌을 때 중단시키는 방법.
