Abstract

본원은 도파관들 같은 광학 유리층들을 급속 열 처리 공정을 이용하여 어닐링하는 방법으로서, 0.01 내지 324㎤의 면적을 갖는 유리층들을 10분 이하동안 350 내지 1000℃의 온도까지 가열하는 단계를 포함하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본원의 방법에 의해 처리된 유리층들의 광전달 손실이 감소되었음을 알 수 있다.

Description

광학유리에서 광전달 손실을 감소시키는 방법
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 파장 0.633㎛일때 Corning 7059 유리도파관들에서의 광전달 손실들을 나타내는 그래프이다. 부착된 상태에서 (as-deposited) 광전달 손실과 어닐링한 유리들에 의한 광전달 손실을 비교한 것이다. 제2도는 파장 0.63㎛일때 BK7 유리 도파관들에서의 광전달 손실들을 보여주는 그래프이다. 부착된 상태에서 광전달 손실과 어닐링한 유리들에 의한 광전달 손실을 비교한 것이다. 제3도는 본 발명의 공정에 따라 650℃에서 어닐링한 Corning 7059 유리에 대한 온도 대 시간 분포를 보여주는 그래프이다.

Claims (1)

  1. 광학 유리층들을 어닐링하는 방법으로서, 0.01 내지 324㎤의 면적을 갖는 유리층들을 10분 이하동안 350 내지 1000℃의 온도까지 가열하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
