Claims (4)
- (1)단량체 100중량%를 기준으로, (a)비닐 방향족 단량체 약 30내지 약 70중량% (b)적어도 하나의 알킬아크릴레이트 단량체 약 25내지 약 65중량% (c)아크릴산 약 1내지 5중량% 및 (d)메타크릴산 약 0.4 내지 약 3중량%를 포함하는 단량체 혼합물을, 적어도 하나의 설포네이트 계면 활성제 약 0.2 내지 0.4phm 및 약 12내지 약 20범위내의 친수성-친유성 평형가를 갖는 적어도 하나의 수불용성 비이온성 계면활성제 약 4내지 8phm의 존재하에 약 3.5 미만의 pH에서 유리 라디칼 수성 유화 중합시켜 라텍스를 수득하고; (2)암모니아에 의해 상기 라텍스를 중화시켜 약 7내지 약 10.5 범위의 pH가 되도록 하여 중화된 라텍스를 제조하는 것을 포함하는, 수희석가능한(water reducible) 도료의 제조에 유용한 중화된 라텍스의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단량체 혼합물이 (a)스티렌 약 47내지 약 57중량% (b)2-에틸헥실아크릴레이트 약 40 내지 약 50중량% (c)아크릴산 약 1.5내지 2.5중량% 및, (d)메타크릴산 약 0.8내지 약 1.5중량 %로 구성되고; 유리 라디칼 수성 유화 중합 반응을 약 52℃내지 약 88℃ 범위내의온도에서 수행하고; 수불용성 비이온성 계면활성제가 약 14내지 약 18범위내의 친수성-친유성 평형가를 가지며; 설포네이트 계면활성제가 나트륨 도데실벤젠 설포네이트인 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 비이온성 계면활성제가 약4.5내지 약 6.0phm범위내의 농도로 존재하고; 설포네이트 계면 활성제가 약 0.25내지 약 0.35phm범위내의 농도로 존재하고; 상기 중합 반응을 pH 약 3.0 미만에서 수행하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비이온성 계면활성제가 하기 일반식을 갖는 수불용성 비이온 계면활성제인 방법:상기식에서 n은 약 8내지 약 50의 정수이며,m은 약 6내지 약 12의 정수이다.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개되 는 것임.
