Claims (9)

  1. 단자 섬유단부(13)를 생성하도록 광 섬유를 절단하는 단계를 포함하는 광 섬유(10)를 종결시키는 방법에 있어서, 섬유 단부의 형상을 현저하게 변경시키지 않고 섬유단부의 불규칙성을 감소시키기 위해 부드러운 가열표면(14)에 대하여 상기 단부를 프레싱하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광섬유는 플라스틱을 함유하는 물질로 제조되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 커넥터(20 내지 23)를 상기 섬유단부에 장착시키는 것도 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 가열표면은 97 내지 103℃ 범위의 온도로 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가열표면은 유리를 포함하는 것을 특징으로하는 방법.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광섬유는 75 내지 85℃ 범위의 온도로 절단되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 섬유단부는, 상기 표면에 대한 상기 단부의 현저한 이동없이 표면에 대하여 프레스되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 섬유단부는 5내지 8초내의 시간동안 상기 표면에 대하여 프레스되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 섬유는 플라스틱 코어를 포함하고, 상기 가열표면은 코어의 유리 전이온도와 같은 온도인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
