Claims (27)

  1. (a) 수평균 분자량 300 내지 20,000의 최소한 하나의 말단 불포화 에틸렌 알파-올레핀 중합체(이 중합체 쇄의 최소한 30%는 말단 에테닐리덴 불포화기를 함유한다)를 사용하여 최소한 하나의 하이드록시 방향족 화합물을 알킬화시켜 형성된 최소한 하나의 알킬-치환된 하이드록시방향족 화합물; (b) 최소한 하나의 알데히드 반응물; 및 (c) 최소한 하나의 친핵성 반응물의 반응에 의해 수득한 축합 생성물을 포함하는, 유성 조성물에 유용한 윤활유 분산 첨가제.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 에틸렌-프로필렌 공중합체를 포함하는 분산 첨가제.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공중합체가 약 700 내지 약 15,000의 수평균 분자량을 갖는 분산 첨가제.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 수평균 분자량의 약 1,500 내지 5,000인 분산 첨가제.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 약 20 내지 약 80몰%의 에틸렌 함량을 갖는 분산 첨가제.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 약 45 내지 약 65몰%의 에틸렌 함량을 갖는 분산 첨가제.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 알파-올레핀이 1-부텐을 포함하는 분산 첨가제.
  8. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 수평균 분자량이 약 1,500내지 5,000인 분산 첨가제.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 친핵성 반응물이 분자당 2 내지 60개의 탄소원자 및 1내지 12개의 질소 원자를 함유하는 아민을 포함하는 분산 첨가제.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 아민이, 알킬렌 그룹이 2내지 60개의 탄소원자를 함유하고 분자당 2내지 약 9개의 질소원자를 함유하는 폴리알킬렌 폴리아민을 포함하는 분산 첨가제.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 아민이 폴리에틸렌폴리아민을 포함하는 분산 첨가제.
  12. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 분산 첨가제가 보레이트화되어 상기 보레이트화 분산 첨가제내에 약 0.05 내지 2.0중량%의 붕소를 제공하는 분산 첨가제.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 에틸렌-프로필렌 공중합체를 포함하는 분산 첨가제.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 공중합체가 수평균 분자량 약 700 내지 약 15,000을 갖는 분산 첨가제.
  15. 제1항의 분산 첨가제를 약 3 내지 45중량% 함유하는 농축물.
  16. 제2항의 분산 첨가제를 약 10내지 20중량% 함유하는 농축물.
  17. 제1항 또는 제2항의 분산 첨가제를 약 0.1 내지 20중량% 함유하는 윤활유 조성물.
  18. 제14항의 분산 첨가제를 약 0.1 내지 20중량% 함유하는 윤활유 조성물.
  19. 수평균 분자량 300 내지 20,000의 에틸렌 알파-올레핀 중합체(이 중합체 쇄의 최소한 30%는 말단 에테닐리덴 불포화기를 함유한다)를 사용한 최소한 하나의 하이드록시 방향족 화합물의 알킬화에 의해 제조된 알킬-치환된 하이드록시 방향족 화합물을 포함하는, 개선된 점도 특성을 갖는 방향족 화합물.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 에틸렌-프로필렌 공중합체를 포함하는 방향족 조성물.
  21. 제20항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 약 700 내지 약 15,000의 수평균 분자량을 갖는 방향족 화합물.
  22. 제21항에 있어서, 상기 수평균 분자량의 약 1,500 내지 5,000인 방향족 화합물.
  23. 제19항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 4.1 미만의 VR값을 갖는 방향족 화합물.
  24. 제19항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 약 20 내지 약 80몰%의 에틸렌 함량을 갖는 방향족 화합물.
  25. 제20항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 약 45 내지 약 65몰%의 에틸렌 함량을 갖는 방향족 화합물.
  26. 4.1 미만의 VR'값을 특징으로 하는 분산제물질을 형성시키는 축합 조건하에서, (a)수평균 분자량 300 내지 20,000의 최소한 하나의 에틸렌 알-올레핀 중합체(이 중합체 쇄의 최소한 30%는 말단 에테닐리덴 불포화기를 함유한다)를 사용한 최소한 하나의 하이드록시 방향족 화합물의 알킬화에 의해 형성된 최소한 하나의 알킬-치환된 하이드록시 방향족 화합물; (b) 최소한 하나의 알데히드 반응물; 및 (c) 최소한 하나의 친핵성 반응물을 접촉시킴을 포함하는 저 침전 윤활유 분산제 물질의 제조방법.
  27. 제26항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 에틸렌-프로필렌 공중합체를 포함하는 방법.
