Claims (10)

  1. 제1판은 로전극 시스템을 포함하고 제2판은 로 및 칼럼전극의 교차영역에서 선택동안 극단전송 상태로부터 희망전송 상태에 도달하는 디스플레이 소자를 규정한 칼럼전극 시스템을 포함하는 두 지지판간에 강유 전체 액정 매개물을 포함한 디스플레이 장치 구동방법에 있어서, 선택동안 디스플레이 소자가 구동전압 및 데이타 전압이 바이폴라인 칼럼전극상의 데이타 전압과 로전극상의 구동전압을 통해 극단전송 상태로부터 희망전송 상태에 도달하며, 상기 희망전송 상태는 적어도 라인 주기나 그 일부분에 대해 로전극에 나타나는 바이폴라 선택신호와 실제로 동시에 제공되는 데이타 전압에 따라 도달되어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 로전극상의 바이폴라 선택신호에 앞서, 바이폴라 보조신호가 제공되는데 상기 보조신호는 디스플레이 소자가 극단상태를 초래하는 각각의 서브신호의 주기와 높이를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  3. 제1 또는 제2항에 있어서, 디스플레이 소자 양단의 평균전압은 실제로 제로 볼트인 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  4. 제2 또는 제3항에 있어서, 보조신호와 선택신호가 한라인 주기내에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 강유전체 액정 매개물의 스위칭 주기보다 적어도 4배인 주어진 라인주기 동안, 1/4라인주기와 관련된 전송-전압 특성에서 한 극단 광전상태로부터 다른 극단 광전 상태로 전송이 초래되는 전압범위내에서 적어도 반을 커버한 최대값을 가진 데이타 전압이 제공되는 반면, 보조신호 부분의 절대값이 최대 데이타 신호의 절대값과 선택신호 부분의 절대값의 합계와 적어도 같은 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  6. 제2 또는 제3항에 있어서, 보조신호는 선택이 발생하는 라인주기에 앞서 적어도 한라인 주기동안 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 보조신호는 선택이 발생하는 라인주기에 앞선 라인주기동안 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 강유전체 액정 매개물의 스위칭 주기보다 적어도 2배인 주어진 라인주기동안, 라인주기와 관련된 전송전압 특성에서 한 극단 광전 상태로부터 다른 극단 광전상태로 전송이 초래되는 전압범위내에서 적어도 반을 커버한 최대값을 가진 데이타 전압이 제공되는 반면, 보조신호 부분의 절대값과 최대 데이타 전압의 절대값간의 차이가 최대 데이타 전압의 절대값과 선택신호 부분의 절대값의 합계와 같은 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  9. 4 내지 8항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 보조신호의 최종부분과 선택신호의 최초부분은 동일 기호를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 강유전체 액정 매개물이 보조신호에 의해 실제로 비전송 상태를 초래하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치 구동방법.
