본 발명은 육아용이나 간호용으로 사용되는 흡수성 패드에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 위크층, 기포층, 흡수층 및 기부층과 같은 4개의 층으로 형성되어 있으면서, 수분을 효과적으로 흡수할 수 있는 개선된 흡수성 패드에 관한 것이다.
종래에 육아용이나 간호용에 적합한 흡수성 패드를 제조하기 위한 노력이 계속되어져 왔으나 최근까지도 흡족할 정도의 제품을 제조하지는 못하고 있는 실정이다.
예를 들면, 미국특허 제3,468,311호에는 흡수력이 좋은 하부 흡수층을 통해서 수분이 흡수될 수 있도록 하기 위하여, 기포층에다 다수의 액체 통과공을 형성시켜서 흡수성 패드를 제조하는 기술이 소개되어 있으나, 이와같은 구조를 갖는 흡수성 패드도 역시 수분을 완전히 흡수시키지 못하는 것이었다.
즉, 상기의 흡수 패드는 맨위에 기포쿠션층과 수분흡수층, 그리고 기부면은 방수막으로 형성되어져 있는데, 이를 구체적으로 설명하면 맨윗층에는 쿠션이 있는 기포층이 있고, 기부면에는 플라스틱방수막이 형성되어져 있으며, 상기 기포층과 기부층 사이에는 양호한 흡수층이 형성된 구조로 이루어져 있다.
여기서, 맨위에 있는 기포층은 한쌍의 플라스틱판으로 된 것이지만 봉합부에 의해서 서로 분리된 기포가 형성되도록 상기 플라스틱판이 접합되어져있고, 기포와 기포 사이의 봉합부에는 기포층에서 흡수층으로 수분이 흡입될 수 있도록 충분한 크기의 많은 투과공들이 형성되어져 있다.
또한, 미국특허 제4,360,015호는 다층구조로 된 흡수 패드에 대하여 기술되어 있는바, 즉 그물 모양의 구조에 의해서 분리된 2개의 흡수층을 중심으로하여 한쪽면은 손상면과접촉되는 표면층에 의해서 덮어져 있고, 다른 한쪽면은 방수막에 의해 덮여있는 구조로 되어있다.
여기서 흡수층과 인접되 표면손상층은 엮여져 있지 않으며, 다음층인 그물층은 흡수층이 없이 다만 흡수된 수분이 통과할 수 있도록 되어져있고, 그 다음은 흡수성이며, 맨바깥층은 방수막으로 되어 있다.
상기 기술이외에 본 발명과 관련된 종래의 기술로서는, 미국특허 제2,896,618호, 제4,321,924호, 제3,886,941호, 제4,323,609호, 제3,889,679호, 제4,338,371호, 제4,055,180호, 제4,381,783호 및 제4,411,660호 등이 있다.
이에 따라 본 발명에서는 서로 상이한 기능을 나타내는 여러형태의 층들을 형성시켜 보다 많은 양의 수분을 효과적으로 흡수할 수 있는 흡수성 패드를 제공하는데, 그 목적이 있는 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 가장 효과적으로 수분이 이동될 수 있도록 서로 분리된 다량의 기포로 형성되어진 큐션층을 포함하는 흡수성 패드를 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명의 또 다른 목적은 기포층의 상부면으로부터 기포층의 기부면에 위치한 흡수층으로 이동하는 수분의 흐름을 개선시키기 위하여 위크층이 기포층위에형성되어 있으면서 기포층의 측면 말단부까지 확장되어 있는 흡수성 패드를 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명의 또다른 목적은 위크층이 기포층의 주위를 완전히 감싸고 있는 흡수성 패드를 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명의 따다른 목적은 세탁을 할 필요가 없으며 처리가 간편하고, 비교적 저렴한 가격으로 제조되어질 수 있는 흡수성 패드를 제공하는데 있다.
이와같은 본 발명의 흡수성 패드는 적어도 하나의 기포층을 포함하면서 다측형태로 이루여져 있는바, 기포층의 윗부분을 덮고 있으면서 양쪽끈중 어느 한부분을 적어도 한번 감싸고 있는 위크층과 수분흡수층 그리고 기부층인 방수막으로 형성되어져 있다.
또한, 기포층으로부터 기포층의 하부에 형성되어 있는 흡수층으로 수분이 이동하는데 있어서, 위크층의 효과를 최대로 신장시키기 위하여 위크층이 기포층을 완전히 둘러싸고 있다.
이하, 본 발명을 예시된 도면에 의거 더욱 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
본 발명에 따른 흡수성 패드(8)는 제1도에 나타낸 바와같이 적어도 4개의 층으로 형성되어져 있는데, 상층으로서 기포쿠션층이 부호 10으로 표시되어져 있고, 부호 12로 나타낸 부분은 기포층의 기포상부면을 완전히 덮고 있는 흡수위크층으로서, 기포층의 어느 하나의 측면단부(14)주위를 한번 둘러싸도록 되어져 있다.
한편, 상층부로서의 기포쿠션층(10)에는 여러개의 기포 또는 완충물(22)을 봉합하고 있는 한쌍의 플라스틱 방수막(18,20)을 포함하고 있는데, 이 기포는 한쌍의 플라스틱막(18,20)이 접합되어서 이루어진 봉하부(24)에 의해서 각각 분리되어져 있다.
바람직하기로는 기포(22)가 표면층에 대하여 균일하게 퍼져 있도록하고, 필요한 만큼의 쿠션효과를 나타낼 수 있도록하는 것이 좋다. 여기서 기포(22)는 표면층에서 조절되지 않은 상태로 유입된 수분이 골고루 분산되어질 수 있을 만큼의 갯수를 설치하였기 때문에 상기의 액체가 상기 표면층의 측면부로 넘쳐흐르지 않게 된다.
한편, 위크층(14)에서 기포층(10)의 상부에 위치하면서 적어도 어느 한쪽 측면말단부(14)에서 절첩되어 있도록 하되 바람직하기로는 기포층(10)의 모든 측면말단부(14)를 감싸도록 하는 것도 좋다.
상기 위크층(12)의 절첩부(26)은 안쪽으로 짧게 형성시키는 것이 좋으나, 바람직하기로는 기포층(10)의 하부면 전체가 피복되도록 하는 것이 좋다.
본 발명에 있어서의 위크층(12)은 수분을 기포층(10)의 가장자리로 순간적으로 이동시킬 수 있는 종이타월과 같은 재질로 되어있으므로 위크층(12)의 측면말단부(14)를 경유하여 하부흡수층(15)으로 쉽게 흡수될 수 있도록 되어 있으며, 상기 흡수층(15)은 대체로 흡수성이 강한 물질이나 합성섬유, 직물, 비직물 또는 다공성물질등으로 만들수 있으나, 합성섬유로 된 배트(batt)나 매트(mat), 합성섬유를 혼합시켜서 만든것, 또는 비직물셀룰로오즈배트나 오픈셀스폰지로 된 시이트(sheet)등을 사용하게 되면 만족할만한 결과를 얻을 수 있는바, 본 발명의 구현예에서는 상기 흡수층(15)의 재질로서 면화를 사용하였다.
또한, 상기의 흡수층(15)은 섬유의 넓은 표면적을 이용하여 수분을 많이 흡수할 수 있는 소수성 섬유의 매스(mass)나 매트를 이용할 수도 있다.
또 여기서 데크론(Decron)이나 나이론과 같은 물에 젖지않는 섬유들은 일반적으로 섬유자체가 흡수성이 없기 때문에 수분을 많이 함유할 수 없을것 같이 생각되나 이들의 넓은 표면적을 따라 위크층(12)으로부터 많은 수분을 흡수할 수 있으며, 특히 이러한 섬유들은 배트와 같은 모양으로 형성시키면 더욱 많은 수분을 함유할 수 있는 특성을 나타내게된다.
한편, 패드의 기부층(16)은 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌등과 같은 얇은 플라스틱방수층으로 만드는 것이 좋은데 기부층(16)의 일차적인 기능은 흡수층(15)에 함유되어 있는 수분에 대하여 방수효과를 나타내게 하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명의 바람직한 구현예인 제4도에 있어서는 상층부 윗면에 펠론(pellon)층(28)이 형성되어져 있고, 그 윗표면에는 셀룰로오즈 조직층(30)이 형성되어 있다.
여기서도 위크층(12)은 종이타월로 되어있으면서 쿠션기능을 가진 기포층(10)을 완전히 둘러싸고 있으며, 흡수층(15)은 면화로 되어 있고, 기부층(16)은 플라스틱막으로 되어 있다.
한편, 제4도에 있어 셀루로오즈조직층(30)을 통해서 수분이 흡수될 때 과다한 수분을 펠론층(28)으로 이동한 다음 종이타월로 된 위크층(12)의 상부면으로 이동하게 된다.
여기서, 수분은 위크층(12)의 상부면으로부터 기포층(10)으로 이동되어지지만 반원형구조로 되어진 기포층(10)은 침투하는 수분에 대하여 방수벽의 기능을 갖게 된다.
따라서 수분은 측면말단부(14)로 이동되어 위크층(12)의 하부면(12a)을 거쳐 흡수층(15)의 표면으로 방출되게 되는 것이다.
이때 기부층(16)은 흡수층에 함유되어 있는 수분이 누출되는 것을 방지하게 된다.
상술한 바와같이 본 발명은 비교적 간단한 구조로 되어 있으며, 저렴한 비용으로 제조하여도 흡수성이 뒤어난 흡수성 조절패드로서, 본 발명의 구현예에서도 상술한 바와같이 본 발명의 범위를 크게 벗어나지 않는 한도내에서 다양한 변화와 변형이 가능하며 추가적인 요구에 대해서는 이러한 변화와 변형을 통해 해결하고자 하는 것이 본 발명의 의도인 것이다.

Claims (2)

  1. 다층 형태로 구성된 흡수성 패드로서, 기포의 상부와 하부 및 말단부분을 갖는 적어도 하나의 기포층과 적어도 그 기포층의 상부와 바닥에 인접되어 위치하고, 그 말단부분을 둘러싸면서 감싸고 있는 위크층 및, 기부방수층으로 이루어져 있되 상기 기포층은 한쌍의 플라스틱판으로 되어 있으면서 그 플라스틱판의 상판에 의해 거의 전체적으로 다수의 기포가 형성되어 있고, 그 곳을 통과해 침투하는 수분에 대하여는 방수막 역활을 하도록 되어진 흡수성 패드.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 위크층은 기포층의 상부와 측면 및 하부까지 전체적으로 완전하게 감싸도록 되어진 흡수성 패드.
