제1도는 본 발명의 한 형태에 따라 백금기체(基體)에 대해 내긁힘성 피복(coating)을 형성하기 위한 장치의 단면도.
제2도는 사용된 물질과 열처리의 상세한 조합에 의해 실행된 시험에서 형성된 상이한 피복을 상세하게 나타내는 표.
제3도는 제2도에서 언급된 피복의 두께 및 경도를 상세하게 나타내는 표.
Claims (14)
- 적어도 85중량%의 백금을 함유하는 기체를 갖고 있는 물체에 있어서, 상기 물품은 백금과 금속간 화합물을 형성하는 원소로부터 선택된 적어도 한 원소를 첨가함으로써 그것의 내긁힘성을 개량하기 위하여 변성된 표면영역이 구비되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표면영역은 백금과 금속간 화합물 형성원소로서 작용하는 하나 또는 그 이상의 다른 금속 또는 메탈로이드와의 적어도 하나의 금속간 화합물을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 금속간 화합물을 형성하는 원소는 알루미늄 또는 다른 III족 원소로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 제2항 또는 3항에 있어서, 상기 표면영역은 합금, 고용체 또는 다른 혼합물 종류가 산재되는 영역에 상기 금속간화합물 또는 화합물을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 전항들중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 표면영역은 알루미늄, 지르코늄과 크롬, 백금과의 금속간 화합물을 형성하는 알루미늄과 크롬을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 전항들중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 표면영역의 두께의 범위는 10 내지 100㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 전항들중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 표면영역의 경도는 적어도 200Hw인 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 내긁힘성을 개선하기 위하여 적어도 85중량%의 백금을 함유하는 기체위에 표면영역을 형성시키는 방법에 있어서, 백금과의 금속간화합물을 형성하는 원소로부터 선택된 적어도 하나의 원소를 피복물질 침투법의 화학적 증착법에 의해 기체의 표면에 침투시키는 것으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 제8항에 있어서, 화학적 증착 피복물질의 원소는 캐리어로서의 알루미나, 금속분말로서의 알루미늄, 지르코늄 및 크롬과 활성화제로서의 염화암모늄으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제8항 또는 9항에 있어서, 화학적 증착공정은 기체를 피복물질의 혼합물속에 매설하고 불활성가스하에서 850 내지 950℃까지 가열하고 3 내지 5시간동안 홀딩하여 냉각하는 것으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 8항 내지 10항의 방법에 사용하기 위한 물질의 조합에 있어서, 이 물질은 불활성 캐리어, 백금과 금속간 화합물을 형성하는 적어도 하나의 원소 또는 그것의 합금, 그리고 무기 할로겐화합물 활성화제로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 물질의 조합.
- 제11항에 있어서, 물질은 캐리어로서의 알루미나, 금속분말로서의 알루미늄, 지르코늄과 크롬, 그리고 활성화제로서의 염화암모늄을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 물품.
- 내긁힘성을 개선하기 위해 변성된 표면영역을 가지고 있는 백금기체로 구성되는 물품을 생산하기 위한 제8항 내지 10항의 방법을 실행하기 적합하게 제작된 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
