Claims (1)

  1. 예를들면, 염화비닐과 같은 중합될 단량체와 물과 같은 반응매질과, 가수분해도가 약 65 내지 약 85%인 가수분해된 폴리비닐아세테이트(단량체가 염화비닐인 경우는 72.5% 가수분해된 것)등과 같은 폴리비닐알콜 현탁제와 비이온 친수성-친유성 밸런스가 3.5이하인 C12및 C18알콜 혼합물 등과 같은 계면활성제를 포함하는 반응혼합물을 만들고, 이 반응혼합물을 교반해서 혼합물 내에서 현탁된 단량체의 방울을 만든 다음 이 혼합물을 약 30℃ 내지 약 70℃ 범위의 중합반응온도(단량체가 염화비닐인 경우 60℃)까지 가열하고, 이 온도에서 이 혼합물을 약 1분에서 약 60분까지 약 100rpm에서 약 450rpm으로 교반하고, 이 가열되고 교반된 반응혼합물에 기름에 녹는, 자유라디칼을 내는 디(2-에틸헥실) 피옥시디카보 네이트[di(2-ethyl hexyl peroxydicarbonate]와 같은 촉매를 넣고(단량체가 염화비닐인 경우는 라우로일 퍼옥사이드 -lauroyl peroxide), 같은 rpm으로 약 1/4 내지 약 2시간동안 교반하는 첫번째 단계의 반응을 행하고, (단량체가 염화비닐인 경우의 첫번째 단계는 단량체의 중합체에로의 전환율이 10% 때로 잡음), 그리고는 rpm을 두번째 단계의 교반속도인 약 50 내지 약 300rpm으로 낮추고, 이로써 약 10 내지 100미크론의 직경을 가진 치밀한 구형의 유리같은 중합체 입자를 포함하는 물의 슬러리를 만들고, 그 다음에 그슬러리로 부터 그 입자를 회수하는 것으로 이루어진, 비닐이나 비닐리덴 중합체나 이들 서로의 혹은 최소한 하나의 말단기를 가진 하나 또는 그 이상의 비닐리덴 단량체와의 공중합체를 만드는 현탁 중합공정.
