Claims (8)

  1. 한쌍의 광학파장을 결합 또는 분리시키기 위한 광학섬유 멀티플렉서에 있어서, 한쌍의 광학 섬유가 광학섬유들의 상호작용 길이에서 이 광학 섬유들 사이의 미소지역 결합을 제공하도록 밀접하게 배열되고, 광학섬유들 사이의 미소 지역 결합의 상호작용 지역내에 있는 결합길이 내에서 나타나며, 상호작용 길이가 한 광학파장에서 광학섬유들의 결합 길이의 짝수배로 되고, 다른 광학 파장에서 결합 길이의 홀수배로 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 수동광학섬유 멀티플렉서.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광학섬유 쌍들이 타원형으로 구부러져 있고, 상기 효율적인 상호작용 길이가 상기 타원형 광학섬유의 곡선반경의 함수인 것을 특징으로 하는 광학섬유 멀티플렉서.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광학 섬유 쌍들이 상기 광학파장상들을 선택하도록 서로 가로 편기되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학섬유 멀티플렉서.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 광학섬유 쌍들이 단단한 블럭내에 장착되고, 상기 멀티플렉서가 부수적으로 상기 광학파장쌍들을 선택하도록 서로 상기 블럭들을 이동시키기 위한 장치를 특징으로 하는 광학섬유 멀티플렉서.
  5. 상기 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광학섬유 쌍들이 상기 제1과 제2광학파장들 사이의 주파수 차이를 정하도록 선택된 곡선 반경을 갖고 있는 타원형인 것을 특징으로 하는 광학섬유 멀티플렉서.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광학섬유들이 타원형이고 상기 효율적인 상호작용 길이가 상기 타원형 광학섬유들의 반경의 제곱근의 함수인 것을 특징으로 하는 광학섬유 멀티플렉서.
  7. 단단한 물질로된 2개의 블럭에 제1 및 제2 일반적으로 평행 평평한 표면을 제공하는 수단, 블럭의 중심부를 향해서 보다 블럭의 연부를 향해 더 큰 깊이를 갖고 있는 슬롯트를 각각의 블럭들의 표면을 갈로질러 형성하는 수단, 가닥들이 슬롯트의 저부벽에 대응하는 경로를 따라 연장하도록 각각의 슬롯트내에 코어부분 및 피복물 부분을 갖고 있는 광학섬유 물질로된 가닥을 장착시키는 수단, 각각의 가닥의 피복물 부분이 슬롯트의 중심부에서 수미크론의 코어 부분내에 있고 블럭의 연부에서 가닥으로부터 제거되는 물질이 없을 때까지 평평한 형태로 각각의 가닥 및 블럭의 표면으로부터 물질을 제거하는 수단 및 가닥들의 안내된 모우드가 선택된 파장의 광선이 2개의 가닥들 사이로 이동되고 다른 선택된 파장의 광선이 이렇게 이동하지 못하도록 미소 지역결합을 통해 상호 작용하는 지역을 형성하기 위해 피복물이 제거되어 있는 경우, 접초관계인 표면들 및 서로 밀접한 가닥들의 코어 부분과 함께 블럭들을 배치시키는 수단을 특징으로 하는 한쌍의 광학파장용 멀티플렉싱하는 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 블럭들의 상대 이동 및 회전 위치가 상기 선택된 파장을 선택하도록 안내된 모우드들 사이의 상호작용 지역을 선택적으로 변화시키기 위해 조정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
