Abstract

본 복수층 구조체는, 두께가 10㎛ 이상 200㎛ 이하인 유리층과, 수지층을 포함하는 복수층 구조체로서, 1개의 유리층과 1개의 수지층으로 된 적층 구조가 단위 적층 구조이며, 상기 복수층 구조체의 두께 방향으로 상기 단위 적층 구조의 갯수가 5층 이상 20000층 이하이다.

Description

복수층 구조체
본 발명은 유리층과 수지층을 갖는 복수층 구조체에 관한 것이다.
유리와 수지 필름을 복수 개 층으로 중첩시킨 복수층 구조체는, 유리가 갖는 강성과 수지가 갖는 인성(靭性)을 겸비한 복합 재료로서 알려져 있다. 이러한 복수층 구조체는 고강도 충격에 대해 유리의 파괴와 수지에 의한 충격 흡수를 반복함으로써 외부 충격을 급격히 감소시키는 효과를 가진다. 이러한 복수층 구조체는 상기와 같은 특징으로 인해 방탄 유리, 안전 유리 등으로서 외부 충격에 대해 균열 파손을 방지하는 용도로 널리 사용된다.

종래의 복수층 구조체는 수mm 두께의 판 유리를 복수 개 사용하는데, 복수층으로 하는 갯수가 많을수록 내충격성은 커지지만, 유리는 비중이 크기 때문에 중량 문제가 과제로 되어 있다. 유리의 활용 케이스를 확대하기 위해, 유리를 굽힌 곡면 유리가 디자인성의 관점에서 진열창이나 건축 부재 등에 사용되지만, 복수층 구조체를 곡면 유리에 적응시키기 위해서는 복수층 구조체를 곡면 형상으로 열 변형시킬 필요가 있기 때문에, 수백도씩 하는 유리의 연화점(軟化點)에서는 수지층이 열 분해되는 바 현실적이지 않다. 미리 유리 곡면을 형성하여 수지와 적층시키는 방법도 있으나, 높은 생산성을 기대하기는 어렵다.
또한, 원통형의 복수층 구조체를 얻을 수 있다면, 고강도의 배관 소재로 활용할 수 있어서, 이제까지 금속 표면에 유리 처리를 했던 화학 공장 등에 깨지지 않으면서 투명해서 시인화(視認化) 가능한 배관을 제공할 수 있겠지만, 유리관과 수지관을 복수 개 적층하는 것은 대단히 어렵다.
본 발명은 상기 사항을 고려하여 이루어진 것으로서, 유리층과 수지층으로 된 다층 복합 구조를 가지며 형상을 임의로 성형할 수 있는 복수층 구조체를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
본 복수층 구조체는, 두께가 10㎛ 이상 200㎛ 이하인 유리층과, 수지층을 포함하는 복수층 구조체로서, 1개의 유리층과 1개의 수지층으로 된 적층 구조가 단위 적층 구조이며, 상기 복수층 구조체의 두께 방향으로 상기 단위 적층 구조의 갯수가 5층 이상 20000층 이하이다.
개시된 기술에 의하면, 유리층과 수지층으로 된 다층 복합 구조를 가지며 형상을 임의로 성형할 수 있는 복수층 구조체를 제공할 수 있다.

이하에서는, 발명을 실시하기 위한 형태에 대해 도면을 참조하여 설명한다. 각 도면에서 동일한 구성 부분에는 동일한 부호를 붙이며 중복되는 설명을 생략하는 경우가 있다.
[복수층 구조체]
도 1은 본 실시형태에 따른 복수층 구조체를 예시하는 사시도이다. 도 1에 나타내는 바와 같이, 복수층 구조체(10)는 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)이 교대로 복수 층 배치된 구조이다.
보다 자세하게는, 복수층 구조체(10)는 1개의 유리층(11)과 1개의 수지층(12)으로 된 적층 구조가 단위 적층 구조(13)를 이루며, 복수층 구조체(10)의 두께 방향(적층 방향)으로 단위 적층 구조(13)가 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)이 교대로 배치되도록 복수 개 적층되어 고정된 구조이다. 한편, 단위 적층 구조(13)는 접착층 또는 점착층을 사이에 두고 서로 적층될 수도 있다.
단위 적층 구조(13)에서는 예를 들어 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)은 동일한 두께이다. 다만, 단위 적층 구조(13)에서 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)의 두께가 서로 다를 수도 있다. 그리고, 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)이 임의의 두께로 적층된 두께가 서로 다른 복수 개 종류의 단위 적층 구조를 조합시킬 수도 있다.
단위 적층 구조(13)의 층수는 5층~20000층이며, 바람직하게는 10층~1000층이며, 더 바람직하게는 20층~100층이다. 이 범위에서 경량성과 내충격성이 양립하는 복수층 구조체(10)를 얻을 수 있다. 한편, 각 도면에서는 도면 작성의 편의상 단위 적층 구조(13)의 적층 수가 5층보다 적은 경우가 있지만, 실제로 단위 적층 구조(13)의 층수는 5층 이상 20000층 이하이다.
도 2는 본 실시형태의 변형예 1에 따른 복수층 구조체를 예시하는 사시도이다. 복수층 구조체의 구조는, 도 1에 나타내는 복수층 구조체(10)와 같이 유리층(11) 및 수지층(12)의 주면(主面)이 평면일 수도 있으며, 도 2에 나타내는 복수층 구조체(10A)와 같이 유리층(11) 및 수지층(12)의 주면이 곡면일 수도 있다. 또는, 본 실시형태에 따른 복수층 구조체의 구조는 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)의 주면에 있어 평면인 부분과 곡면인 부분이 조합될 수도 있다.
도 3은 본 실시형태에 따른 변형예 2에 따른 복수층 구조체를 예시하는 사시도이다. 도 3에 나타내는 복수층 구조체(10B)와 같이, 단위 적층 구조(13)를 롤 형상으로 적층시키면, 대표적으로는 원통 형상을 구성할 수 있다. 도 3에서 복수층 구조체(10B)의 중심 근방의 S는 공간을 나타내고 있다.
복수층 구조체(10B)의 기둥 형상 구조의 횡단면은, 도 4a에 나타내는 바와 같이, 예를 들어 원형이다. 다만, 복수층 구조체(10B)의 기둥 형상 구조의 횡단면은 원형으로 한정되지 않으며, 도 4b에 나타내는 바와 같이 타원형일 수도 있고 도 4c, 도 4d에 나타내는 바와 같이 직선과 곡선의 조합일 수도 있다. 도 4c의 단면예는 모서리가 라운드진 사각 형상이며, 도 4d의 단면예는 모서리가 라운드진 육각 형상이다.
[유리층]
유리층(11)은 특별히 한정되지는 않으며, 목적에 따라 적절한 것을 채택할 수 있다. 유리층(11)은, 조성에 의한 분류에 따르면, 예를 들어 소다 석회 유리, 붕산 유리, 알루미노규산유리, 석영 유리 등을 들 수 있다. 그리고, 알칼리 성분에 의한 분류에 따르면, 무알칼리 유리, 저알칼리 유리를 들 수 있다. 상기 유리의 알칼리 금속 성분(예를 들어, Na2O, K2O, Li2O)의 함유량은, 바람직하게는 15중량% 이하이고, 더 바람직하게는 10중량% 이하이다.
유리층(11)의 두께 t1은, 예를 들어, 10㎛ 이상 200㎛ 이하이다. 여기에서 두께 10㎛~ 200㎛의 유리층이라 함은, 유리층의 평균 두께가 10㎛~ 200㎛인 유리층을 의미한다.
유리층(11)의 두께 t1은, 유리가 갖는 표면 경도, 밀폐성, 내부식성을 등을 고려하면 10μ 이상임이 바람직하다. 그리고, 곡면 구조를 얻으려면 단일의 유리층(11)은 필름과 같이 가요성(可撓性)을 가지는 것이 바람직하므로, 유리층(11)의 두께 t1은 200㎛ 이하임이 바람직하다. 특히 바람직하게는 50㎛~ 100㎛이다.
유리층(11)의 파장 550nm에서의 광 투과율은, 바람직하게는 85% 이상이다. 유리층(11)의 파장 550nm에서의 굴절율은, 바람직하게는 1.4~1.65이다. 유리층(11)의 밀도는 바람직하게는 2.3g/cm3~3.0g/cm3이며, 더 바람직하게는 2.3g/cm3~2.7g/cm3이다.
유리층(11)의 성형 방법은 특별히 한정되지는 않으며, 목적에 따라 적절한 것을 채용할 수 있다. 대표적인 것으로서, 유리층(11)은, 실리카, 알루미나 등과 같은 주원료, 황산소다, 산화안티몬 등과 같은 소포제(消泡劑), 카본 등과 같은 환원제를 포함하는 혼합물을 1400℃~1600℃ 정도의 온도에서 용융시켜 박판 형상으로 성형한 후 냉각시켜 제작한다. 유리층(11)의 성형 방법으로는, 예를 들어, 슬롯 다운 드로(slot down draw)법, 퓨전(fusion)법, 플로트(float)법 등을 들 수 있다. 이들 방법에 의해 판 형상으로 성형된 유리층은, 박판화하거나 평활성을 높이기 위해, 필요에 따라 불산 등과 같은 용제에 의해 화학적으로 연마할 수도 있다.
[수지층]
본 발명에서 수지층은 수지 성분을 포함하는 층을 가리킨다. 수지층은 수지층을 형성하기 위한 무기 입자 등과 같은 첨가제를 포함할 수도 있다. 구체적으로는, 접착층, 점착층 또는 중간막만으로 구성되는 층이 수지층에 해당한다. 도 5a는 수지층(12)이 접착층, 점착층 또는 중간막만으로 구성되는 예이다.
그리고 가요성을 갖는 수지 필름과 유리층을 접착층 또는 점착층을 사이에 두고 적층한 경우, 수지 필름과, 접착층 또는 접착층을 갖는 층이 수지층에 해당한다. 즉, 단위 적층 구조에 있어 수지층은 가요성을 갖는 수지 필름과, 유리층과 수지 필름 사이에 구비되는 접착층 또는 점착층을 구비하는 구성일 수 있다. 도 5b는 수지층(12)이 수지 필름(121)과 접착층(122)으로 구성되는 예이다. 수지층(12)은 접착층(122) 대신에 점착층을 구비할 수도 있다.
수지층(12)의 두께 t2는, 예를 들어 0.1㎛~ 2㎛이다. 여기에서 두께 0.1㎛~ 2㎛의 수지층이라 함은, 수지층의 평균 두께가 0.1~2㎛인 수지층을 의미한다.
[수지 필름]
가요성의 수지 기재(基材)로는, 예를 들어, 폴리에테르설폰계 수지; 폴리카보네이트계 수지; 아크릴계 수지; 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트계 수지, 폴리에틸렌나프탈레이트계 수지 등과 같은 폴리에스테르계 수지; 폴리올레핀계 수지; 노르보넨계 수지 등과 같은 시클로올레핀계 수지; 폴리이미드계 수지; 폴리아미드계 수지; 폴리이미드아미드계 수지; 폴리아릴레이트계 수지; 폴리설폰계 수지; 폴리에테르이미드계 수지 등을 들 수 있다. 그 중에서도 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트계 수지, 폴리카보네이트계 수지, 폴리올레핀계 수지를 사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 수지 기재의 색은 특별히 한정되지는 않으나, 투명성의 관점에서 불투명한 것은 바람직하지 않다. 수지 필름의 두께는 25㎛~1mm 정도가 바람직하며, 특히 바람직하게는 50㎛~ 500㎛이다.
[접착제, 점착제, 중간막]
접착제 또는 점착제로는, 임의의 적절한 접착제 또는 점착제가 사용된다. 구체적으로는, 아크릴계 점착제, 실리콘계 점착제, 고무계 점착제, 자외선 경화성 아크릴계 접착제, 자외선 경화성 에폭시계 접착제, 열경화성 에폭시계 접착제, 열경화성 멜라민계 접착제, 열경화성 페놀계 접착제 등을 들 수 있다.
그리고, 중간막으로는, 에틸렌비닐아세테이트(EVA) 중간막, 폴리비닐부티랄(PVB) 등과 같은 폴리비닐아세탈계 수지 중간막, 폴리염화비닐(PVC) 등과 같은 폴리할로겐화비닐 수지 중간막 등을 사용할 수 있다. 접착층, 점착층, 중간막의 두께는 수지층 두께의 범위 안이라면 특별히 한정되지는 않는다.
[복수층 구조체 제조방법]
(수지층(12)이 접착층, 점착층 또는 중간막만으로 구성되는 경우)
도 6은 수지층이 접착층만으로 구성되는 경우의 복수층 구조체 제조방법을 예시하는 도면이다. 수지층(12)이 접착층만으로 구성되는 경우에는, 예를 들어, 도 6에 나타내는 방법에 의해 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제조할 수 있다. 수지층(12)이 점착층 또는 중간막만으로 구성되는 경우에도, 도 6과 마찬가지의 방법에 의해 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제조할 수 있다.
구체적으로는, 송출 롤(300)에 감겨진 유리층(11)을 송출 롤(300)로부터 화살표 방향으로 풀어내면서 유리층(11)의 한쪽면에 접착제(122A)를 적층시켜 원하는 내경의 권취 롤(350)에 권취(捲取)한다. 접착제(122A)가 액상인 경우에는, 경화 장치(400)를 이용하여 접착제(122A)를 경화시켜 수지층(12)으로 한다. 경화 장치(400)는, 예를 들어, 자외선 조사 장치, 가열 장치 등이다. 그 후, 권취 롤(350)을 제거함으로써, 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)으로 된 적층 구조인 단위 적층 구조(13)가 원하는 층수로 적층된 복수층 구조체(10B)가 얻어진다. 수지층(12)은 접착제(122A)가 경화된 접착층으로 구성된다.
한편, 수지층(12)으로서 EVA, PVB 등으로 된 중간막을 사용할 때에는, 열을 가하면서 권취 롤(350)에 감아내는 것이 바람직하다.
그리고, 수지층(12)이 중간막으로만 구성되는 경우에, 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)으로 된 단위 적층 구조(13)의 중간막쪽 면을 다른 단위 적층 구조(13)의 유리층(11)쪽과 열 압착시킴에 의해서도 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제작할 수 있다. 원리적으로 말하면, 단위 적층 구조(13)의 온도를 적층시에 유리층(11)과 중간막이 접착될 수 있는 온도로 상승시킴으로써 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제작할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 온도를 상승시키는 방법으로는, 임의의 기둥 형상 구조(통 형상)의 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제작할 때에, 적층과 동시에 또는 적층 후에 가열된 롤을 가장 바깥쪽 층에 갖다댐으로써 압착시키는 방법을 들 수 있다. 그리고, 미리 유리층(11)와 중간막을 적층시킨 단위 적층 구조(13) 시트를 제작하는 경우에는, 라미네이션의 롤 온도를 상승시킴으로써 단위 적층 구조(13) 시트를 얻을 수 있다. 단위 적층 구조(13)를 얻는 다른 방법으로는, 유리층(11)과 중간막을 중첩시킨 상태에서 일단 권취한 후에 롤을 진공 하에 두고서 적외선 등을 이용하여 온도를 상승시킴으로써 접착할 수도 있다.
(수지층(12)이 수지 필름과 접착층 또는 점착층으로 구성되는 경우)
도 7은 수지층이 수지 필름과 접착층으로 구성된 경우의 복수층 구조체 제조방법을 예시하는 도면이다. 수지층(12)이 수지 필름과 접착층으로 구성되는 경우에는, 예를 들어, 도 7에 나타내는 방법에 의해 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제조할 수 있다. 수지층(12)이 수지 필름과 점착층으로 구성되는 경우에도, 도 7과 마찬가지의 방법에 의해 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제조할 수 있다.
구체적으로는, 송출 롤(300)에 감겨진 유리층(11)과 송출 롤(310)에 감겨진 수지 필름(121)을 송출 롤(300,310)로부터 화살표 방향으로 풀어내면서 수지 필름(121)의 양면에 접착제(122A)를 적층시켜 원하는 내경의 권취 롤(350)에 권취한다. 그 후, 권취 롤(350)을 제거함으로써, 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)으로 된 적층 구조인 단위 적층 구조(13)가 원하는 층수로 적층된 복수층 구조체(10B)가 얻어진다. 수지층(12)은, 수지 필름(121)과, 접착제(122A)가 경화된 접착층(122)으로 구성된다.
한편, 수지 필름(121)의 양면에 접착제(122A)를 적층하는 방법 대신에, 도 8에 나타내는 바와 같이 유리층(11)의 한쪽면과 수지 필름(121)의 한쪽면 각각에 접착제(122A)를 적층하는 방법을 사용할 수도 있다. 도 8에서는 송출 롤(320A,320B)에 감겨진 필름 형상의 접착제(122A)를 유리층(11)의 한쪽면과 수지 필름(121)의 한쪽면으로 공급하고 있다.
또한, 이하의 방법을 사용할 수도 있다.
우선, 도 9a에 나타내는 바와 같이, 송출 롤(300)에 감겨진 유리층(11)과 송출 롤(310)에 감겨진 수지 필름(121)을 송출 롤(300,310)로부터 화살표 방향으로 풀어내면서 코터(500)를 이용해서 수지 필름(121)의 한쪽면에 접착제(122A)를 적층시켜 닙 롤(330)을 통해 권취 롤(360)에 권취한다. 이로써 접착제(122A)를 사이에 두고 유리층(11)과 수지 필름(121)을 적층시킨 복합 롤(10X)이 제작된다.
이어서, 도 9b에 나타내는 바와 같이, 복합 롤(10X)을 화살표 방향으로 풀어내면서 코터(500)를 이용해서 수지 필름(121)의 한쪽면에 접착제(122A)를 적층시키고 원하는 내경의 권취 롤(350)에 권취한다. 그 후, 권취 롤(350)을 제거함으로써, 유리층(11)과 수지층(12)로 된 적층 구조인 단위 적층 구조(13)가 원하는 층수 적층된 복수층 구조체(10B)가 얻어진다. 이 경우에, 단위 적층 구조(13)는 접착층을 사이에 두고 서로 적층된다. 도 9b에 있어 수지 필름(121)의 양면에 접착제(122A)를 적층할 수도 있다.
한편, 도 6 내지 도 9b에 나타낸 모든 방법에 있어, 접착제의 경화가 필요한 것에 대해서는, 권취하면서 또는 권취한 후에 열이나 광으로 경화시킬 필요가 있다. 그리고, 접착제가 액상인 것에 대해서는, 도 9a 및 도 9b에 나타내는 바와 같이 코터(500)를 이용해서 수지 필름(121)에 도포하여 적층시키거나, 도 7에 나타내는 바와 같이 권취 부분에 액체가 고이는 곳을 만들어 권취와 동시에 접착제 층을 형성하는 방법을 들 수 있다.
도 6 내지 도 9b에 나타낸 모든 방법에 있어, 복수층 구조체(10B)의 두께는 권취 횟수에 의해 제어 가능하다. 또한, 복수층 구조체(10B)의 내경은 권취 롤(350)의 외경을 선택함으로써 임의로 제어할 수 있다.
그리고, 복수층 구조체를 2종류 이상 조합할 때에는, 예를 들어 어느 복수층 구조체를 상기 방법으로 권취한 후에, 다른 두께나 재질로 이루어진 필름을 그 위에 복수 회 권취함으로써, 원통의 내측과 외측에서 서로 다른 복수층 구조체로 이루어지는 적층체를 제작할 수 있다. 그 경우에, 유리를 포함하지 않는 수지 필름만을 접착제를 통해 권취하는 등의 구성을 취할 수도 있음은 물론이다.
복수층 구조체(10B)는 일반적으로는 원통 형상이지만, 권취 롤(350)의 형상을 변경하여 도4a~도4d에 나타내는 것과 같은 다양한 형상의 복수층 구조체(10B)를 제작할 수 있다.
또한, 복수층 구조체(10B)의 기둥 형상 구조를 잘라냄으로써, 도 10에 나타내는 보드(10C), 도 11에 나타내는 보드(10D)와 같이 반원 형상이나 임의의 곡면 형상을 갖는 보드를 얻을 수 있다. 또한, 보드(10C,10D)를 조합함으로써 다양한 입체 구조를 만들어낼 수 있다. 그리고, 복수층 구조체(10B)의 기둥 형상 구조를 잘라냄으로써, 도 1에 나타내는 복수층 구조체(10)나 도 2에 나타내는 복수층 구조체(10A)를 제작할 수 있다.
[용도]
본 실시형태에 따른 복수층 구조체는, 예를 들어 공업용 배관, 건축 자재, 진열창, 곡면 윈도우 등에 사용할 수 있다.
이와 같이, 본 실시형태에 따른 복수층 구조체는, 두께 10㎛ 이상 200㎛ 이하의 유리층과, 수지층을 포함하는 복수층 구조체로서, 1개의 유리층과 1개의 수지층으로 된 적층 구조가 단위 적층 구조이며, 복수층 구조체의 두께 방향으로 단위 적층 구조의 갯수가 5층 이상 20000층 이하이다. 이로써, 본 실시형태에 따른 복수층 구조체는, 고강도의 충격을 흡수하는 유리층과 수지층으로 된 다층 복합 구조를 취하면서도 경량이고, 평면뿐 아니라 곡면이나 원통 형상을 임의로 성형할 수 있다.
이상에서 바람직한 실시형태 등에 대해 자세히 설명하였으나, 전술한 실시형태 등에 제한되지는 않으며, 청구범위에 기재된 범위를 일탈하지 않으면서 전술한 실시형태 등에 여러 가지 변형 및 치환을 가할 수 있다.
본 국제출원은, 2019년 9월 26일에 출원된 일본국 특허출원 2019-175837호에 기초하는 우선권을 주장하는 것이며, 일본국 특허출원 2019-175837호의 전체 내용을 본 국제출원에 원용한다.

Claims (6)

  1. 두께가 10㎛ 이상 200㎛ 이하인 유리층과, 수지층을 포함하는 복수층 구조체로서,
    1개의 유리층과 1개의 수지층으로 된 적층 구조가 단위 적층 구조이며,
    상기 복수층 구조체의 두께 방향으로 상기 단위 적층 구조의 갯수가 5층 이상 20000층 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 복수층 구조체.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 단위 적층 구조에 있어, 상기 수지층은, 가요성을 갖는 수지 필름과, 상기 유리층과 상기 수지 필름 사이에 구비되는 접착층 또는 점착층을 포함하는 것인 복수층 구조체.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 단위 적층 구조에 있어 상기 수지층이 중간막인 것을 특징으로 하는 복수층 구조체.
  4. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 중간막이 폴리비닐아세탈계 수지 또는 폴리할로겐화비닐 수지인 것을 특징으로 하는 복수층 구조체.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 단위 적층 구조는 접착층 또는 점착층을 사이에 두고 서로 적층되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 복수층 구조체.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    통 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 복수층 구조체.
