상기 표 3에 따라 제조된 액상 조성물이 인체적용에 대한 안전성으로 피부자극 및 기타 부작용이 없음을 확인하기 위하여 인체에 대한 첩포실험(Patch test)을 실시하였다. 검사는 건강한 성인 남, 여 10명으로 등 부위에 핀챔버(Finn chamber)를 이용하여 알루미늄 원판속에 조성물을 직접 넣거나 종이 디스크에 묻혀서 40㎕를 처리하여 이를 스켄포어 테잎(scanpore tape)으로 피부에 고정시키고, 24시간 후 첩포를 떼어내고, 그 뒤 5시간 후 결과를 판정하였다. 결과는 홍반과 부종의 정도에 따라 수치로 나타내며, 판정기준은 국제접촉피부염 연구위원회(International Contact Dermatitis Research Group;ICDRG)의 기준에 의하여 하기 표 4와 같다.Patch tests were performed on the human body to confirm that the liquid composition prepared according to Table 3 was safe for human application and had no skin irritation or other side effects.
