Claims (14)
- 다수의 단위전지들이 전기적으로 연결되어 있는 전지팩으로서, 열전달 매체가 단위전지들 사이를 유동하여 전지팩 전체의 전반적인 온도를 최적 작동을 위한 소정의 온도범위로 조절하고, 상기 열전달 매체가 접촉하는 단위전지들 각각의 외면에는 상변환물질을 포함하는 층('상변환층')이 부가되어 있어서 단위전지들의 개별적인 온도 편차를 최소화하는 것으로 구성되어 있는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 상변환층은 단위전지의 외면에 직접 도포된 박막의 형태이거나 또는 단위전지의 외면에 부착된 필름의 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 상변환 물질은 파라핀인 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 상변환층에는 높은 열전도율의 물질이 더 포함되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 상변환 물질은 단위전지의 최적 작동 온도범위의 상한 값에 근접한 온도인 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 최적 작동 온도범위는 25 내지 40℃인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 열전달 매체는 공기인 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 다수의 단위전지들이 소정의 간격으로 이격된 상태로 적층되어 하나의 전지군을 형성하고, 이러한 전지군들 다수를 측면 배열한 구조로 이루어져 있으며, 그 외부가 팩 케이스로 감싸여 있는 구조인 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 단위전지들은 상하 개방형의 카트리지에 측면 배열되어 장착되고, 이러한 카트리지들을 적층하여 전지팩을 구성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 열전달 매체의 유입부와 배출부가 전지팩의 동일한 면에 위치하고, 상기 유입부와 배출부 간의 유로(열전달 매체의 유로)는 유입부를 통해 유입된 열전달 매체가 각각 특정한 전지군 만을 유동한 후 배출부를 통해 배출될 수 있도록 유로가 분할되어 있는 구조인 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 열전달 매체가 전지군 별로 유입되어 냉각순환 후 배출될 수 있도록, 상기 유입부에는 각 전지군을 인접한 전지군들로부터 격리시키기 위한 격벽이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 유입부와 배출부를 포함하는 것으로 구성되어 있는 열전달 매체의 유도 부재는 전지팩의 상부 또는 하부에 설치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 12 항에 있어서, 상기 열전달 매체 유도 부재는 전지팩의 상부에 형성되어 있고, 열전달 매체의 유로는 유입구로부터 유입된 열전달 매체가 전지팩의 한쪽 측면쪽으로 이동한 후 전지팩의 측벽(a)을 따라 하향 이동하고, 단위전지들 간의 틈을 통해 대향 측면쪽으로 이동한 뒤, 측벽(b)를 따라 상향 이동하여 배출구를 통해 배출되는 경로를 거치도록 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지팩은 전기자동차 또는 하이브리드 전기자동차의 동력원으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 중대형 전지팩.
