Claims (3)
- 플라즈마 표시 패널(Plasma Display Panel, PDP)의 라인 픽춰 디스토션(Line Picture Distortion, LPD) 방지방법에 있어서,상기 PDP 데이터의 레벨에 대한 최상의 조건을 갖는 기준 휘도 부하량을 사전에 결정하여 세팅하고, 룩업 테이블에 부하량에 대한 변화률을 저장하는 단계;상기 세팅 및 저장된 상태에서, 데이터 입력부에서 제공되는 데이터가 제1 라인 메모리 및 제2 라인 메모리에 라인별로 스위칭(switching)되면서 저장되고, 상기 저장된 데이터를 제공하는 단계;상기 데이터 입력부에서 제공되는 데이터의 레벨 및 부하량을 체크한 휘도 부하량과, 상기 기 세팅된 기준 휘도 부하량을 비교 판단하는 단계;상기 판단 단계에서 차이가 발생되어 LPD가 발생될 경우, 상기 차이를 보상하기 위해 상기 룩업 테이블 내 부하량에 대한 변화률을 읽어와서 그 차이만큼 보상한 휘도값을 제공하는 단계;상기 스위칭되면서 제공되는 데이터와, 보상되어 제공되는 휘도값을 가산하여 휘도차를 보상하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 PDP의 LPD 방지방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 룩업 테이블에 레벨당 레벨별 데이터를 저장하며, 상기 판단 단계에서 LPD가 발생될 경우, 상기 차이를 보상하기 위해 상기 레벨당 레벨별 데이터를 읽어와서 그 차이만큼 보상한 휘도값을 제공하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 PDP의 LPD 방지방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 판단 단계에서 차이가 동일할 경우, 휘도가 정상이므로, "0"값을 제공하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 PDP의 LPD 방지방법.
