Claims (12)
- 포지티브 또는 네거티브한 유전 이방성의 극성 화합물들의 혼합물을 기본으로 하는 액정 매질에 있어서,하기 화학식 1의 화합물을 하나 이상 포함함을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질.화학식 1상기 식에서,X는 F, Cl, CN, SF5, NCS 또는 탄소수 8 이하의 할로겐화 알킬 라디칼이며, 상기 알킬 라디칼에서 하나 이상의 CH2그룹은 O 원자들이 서로 직접 연결되지 않도록 -O- 또는 -CH=CH-에 의해 치환될 수 있고L1, L2및 L3은 각각 서로 독립적으로 H 또는 F이다.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,화학식 I의 화합물에서 X가또는 CH3인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,하기 화학식 I1 내지 I5의 화합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터의 화합물을 하나 이상 포함함을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질:
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,추가로, 하기 화학식 2 내지 10의 화합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 화합물을 하나 이상 포함함을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질.화학식 2화학식 3화학식 4화학식 5화학식 6화학식 7화학식 8화학식 9화학식 10상기 식에서,R0은 각각 탄소수 2 내지 12의 n-알킬, 옥사알킬, 플루오로알킬, 알케닐옥시 또는 알케닐이고,X0은 F, Cl, 및 탄소수 8 이하의 할로겐화 알킬, 할로겐화 알케닐, 할로겐화 알케닐옥시 또는 할로겐화 알콕시이고,Z0은 -CH=CH-, -CH2O, -OCH2-, -(CH2)4-, -C2H4-, -(CH2)4-, -C2F4-, -CF=CF-, -CF2O-, -OCF2- 또는 -COO-이고,Y1, Y2, Y3및 Y4는 각각 서로 독립적으로 H 또는 F이고,r은 0 또는 1이다.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,혼합물 중의 화학식 1 내지 10의 화합물들의 합량이 50중량% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,추가로, 하기 화학식 RI 내지 RXV의 화합물을 하나 이상 포함함을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질:상기 식에서,R0는 n-알킬, 옥사알킬, 플루오로알킬, 알케닐옥시 또는 알케닐이며, 이들 각각의 탄소수는 2 내지 12이고;d는 0, 1 또는 2이고;Y1은 H 또는 F이고;알킬 및 알킬*은 각각 서로 독립적으로 탄소수 2 내지 8의 직쇄 또는 분지된 알킬라디칼이며;알케닐 및 알케닐*은 각각 서로 독립적으로 탄소수 2 내지 8의 직쇄 또는 분지된 알케닐 라디칼이다.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,X0이 F, OCHF2또는 OCF3이고 Y2가 H 또는 F인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질.
- 하기 화학식 1의 플루오르화된 비페닐.화학식 1상기 식에서,X, L1, L2및 L3은 제 1 항에서 정의된 바와 동일하다.
- 하기 화학식 I1 내지 I5의 플루오르화된 비페닐.상기 식에서,X는 제 1 항에서 정의된 바와 동일하다.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,X가 F 또는 OCF3인 것을 특징으로 하는 플루오르화된 비페닐.
- 전기광학을 위한 제 1 항에 따르는 액정 매질의 용도.
- 제 1 항에 따르는 액정 매질을 함유하는 전기광학 액정 디스플레이.
