Claims (4)
- 배기 가스 정화용 촉매 컨버터에서의 촉매 캐리어와 그 외측을 덮는 셀의 사이에 배치되는 보유 밀봉재에 있어서,상기 보유 밀봉재는 무기 섬유를 매트형으로 배치하여 이루어지는 매트형 재료에 0.5 내지 20중량%의 유기 바인더 또는 무기 바인더로 이루어지는 바인더를 부착하여 이루어지며, 조립 후의 충전 밀도가 O.1 내지 O.6g/cm3의 범위 내에 있도록 조정되어 있고,또한, 상기 매트형 재료에 부착된 상기 바인더의 고형분의 분포 비율을 상기 매트형 재료의 두께 방향으로 상부, 중부, 하부로 3등분하여 평가한 경우, 상기 상부 및 하부에서의 상기 분포 비율이 상기 중부에 비하여 높은 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매 컨버터의 보유 밀봉재.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 상부, 중부, 하부에서의 상기 바인더의 고형분의 분포 비율은 상부가 35 내지 50중량%이고, 중부가 0 내지 30중량%이며, 하부가 35 내지 50중량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매 컨버터의 보유 밀봉재.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 매트형 재료를 구성하는 상기 무기 섬유는 결정질 알루미나 섬유, 알루미나-실리카 섬유, 실리카 섬유로부터 선택되는 1종 또는 2종이상의 섬유인 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매 컨버터의 보유 밀봉재.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 보유 밀봉재는 500mm의 높이로부터 10회 낙하시키는 낙하 시험을 한 후의 중량 감소율이 0.2 중량% 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매 컨버터의 보유 밀봉재.
